The two of you didn’t try penang street food. What you had was china chinese food like the potstickers ( not dimsum) and the fish in chilli oil dish. Did you try char kway teow, laksa, nasi kandar . Please do your homework before commenting

I dunno if that's a common thing in an upscale bar/lounge in jakarta where an indonesian couple wants to put you on their social media. Probably they are fucking influencers and thought you are an influencer too so you wont mind the approach. However, I have plenty of blue expat friends and never had I heard such story before. So definitely not a common thing.

I moved away about 35 yrs ago. I grew up in Norton, when I left school in the 70's I started my apprenticeship at Haverton Hill shipyard. When Thatcher got in power it was downhill all the way. I remember seeing The Clash at the Town Hall and SLF but I was frequently at Middlesborough Rock Garden in my punk days. I really missed the place and returned back a couple of years ago and it's all changed, especially Stockton. At least I've still got my memories of Ayresome Park and all that went with it. I really miss the old place. UTB.

Aww the church was St Peters and my Mum & Dad got Married there! I'm from Harrogate but moved to the South West in 1990. Joseph Thackwray that owned the Crown 1835 was his fault they build the pump room, as he was diverting the water onto his land hahahah was my Great (or Great Great) Grandfather :P Not been in there for years bit there is a Thackwray's bar in there. My Mum when she was a teenager in the 50's used to sing in the sun pavillion to entertain visitors :D

60's I lived in South Bank. Went to St Peters, Normanby Road. I travel usually twice a year to attend from my home in Northern Ireland to attend to 4 graves, on Normanby Road, Cemetery. I've been doing this for 30+ years. Those remember are not relatives, but those who at that time were very kind to me as a 9-10-11 year old. Yes! times were hard but I wouldn't change the memories for anything. Everyone was friendly, everyone was on the same level. Schooling was great, would never have missed it. Northern Ireland school on the Antrim road, were 5hit, the teachers nothing more than BULLIES and HATE FILLED bigots. Never done fighting, but the CAWARDS would never one one one. Still hate the place today. Belfast IS A 5HIT HOLE. I always enjoy going back to South Bank, Middlesbrough, Redcar, Saltburn-by-the sea. the best places ever. Thank you for the memories.

I lived in Nunthorpe in the 1960’s and my parents took us shopping every Saturday morning in Middlesbrough. I revisited this year to see all the big shops closed down. Also the dereliction of land in the St Hilda’s area near the Transporter Bridge.. I used to love going over that bridge as a foot passenger. We didn’t have a car! Pleased to see the cosmetic restoration of the Captain Cook Pub. Hope it gets put into long term use. Although not a Labour supporter I do get the feel that the council is trying its best to regenerate the town.

Lovely to watch both of you in Albania... just a little info.. raki is not believed to be invented by Turks, since the religion that they brought in Balkans doesn't allow that. Is most likely invented by people living in that region.. not that matters much... raki is good in moderation 🍻

for foreigners, as for people living there its hell. one of the most expensive cities in Europe, poor living conditions, laughable salaries the reason tirana is mostly fucked up (except by the government) are the tourists and these people who say "oh look tirana is cheap"

This video followed a 1960s Redcar that I,d been watching and there,s a big difference, take a look. I was in my early teens and could easily have been one of the crowds. It takes me back with nostalgia cos I live in New Zealand now and emigrated here 24 years ago from Thornaby-on-Tees.

"Whats art Deco". You were stood next too one of 2 art deco building in Halifax Where MacDonald now is, is art deco. (there is also where Meca bingo was, I saw them in a photo from 1937) And you mentions the slasher but not the Yorkshire ripper, who killed someone on the Halifax moor, near lister lane. (It's really just playing fields), Oh, and that ALL the building's in Halifax were saved because the council was too skint to rip them down and replace them with 60's prefab crap, even the Piece Hall was only save from demolition by 1 vote!
