Old American car's were designed cool, but they really wasn't that dependable. Compared to modern vehicles, the steering, brakes, and safety was horrendous. The best of both world's, would be a resto-mod car. An old classic car body, fitted on a modern frame, with modern suspension, drive train, steering, brakes.

Oppps sorry you have that wrong the British did not use the 105 Priest because we already had the 25 per Sextent a year before the Amaricans had the Priest the extent was built on the Canadian built Grant chassis which was slightly different from the US Lee which the Amaricans used when the M4 Sherman became the allied meadieum tank

Poor industrial relations between management and workers were responsible. This did not happen at Ford or Vauxhall where management actually engaged with the unions. Unfortunately, the industrial relations were combined with below par cars produced by BMC/BL

OK, here is my test, fire support USMC, 105, 155, 110mm? I cannot remember 8 inche,. That was Navy gunfire, 175 MM is off the scale, I may have heard of it in some class but, never operational. We had 2 mortars 88 were the large ones and I forgot the regular motors, I retired in 1989. so that was some time ago but not that much has changed here in 2024...........Good luck to you all.....BB

This is a nice rare car no doubt but it needs a lot of work since it really is no longer considered all original unrestored with the paint job. The paint job was poor and it needs a repaint. The pitting of the paint is obvious. The green doesn’t match the blue interior. And while the interior is clean it needs reupholstering. Does it have air conditioning? That’s almost mandatory for any post war limousine. Serious inquiry here. Please reply with an offer if the car is still for sale to be garaged in Southern California.

What a nice video! Great to see that somebody doesn't only do his homework in a sincere way but is also able to present the content in a no-nonsense way! Well done! PS: the issue presented is very interesting since the Brits did influence so much in the car industry. Sad to see how everything went down the drain and all that is left is investment fund-owned luxury car companies or went to Chinese rule...

The automobile changed what once used to be an unspoiled natural amazing pristine environment beautiful country. Now take a good look at it being all built up with highways, parking lots, bridges, tunnels, residential, commercial and industrial complexes. The country is ruined and destroyed now. We go from being able to buy mass-produced cheap cars for $500 to cars costing $25,000 and more with them still being made on assembly lines. Imagine how beautiful the country was prior to White man arriving here? Capitalism has its pitfalls. Btw, this is the best documentary on the automobile I've ever seen.
