For almost a century and a half, Hucks has welcomed friends and families to play in the beautiful 1000 Islands. Located on the same 11-acre site purchased in 1889 on the banks of the St. Lawrence River in Rockport, Ontario, Canada, Hucks has grown to be a first-class destination delivering experiences Beyond Boating.
Here you'll see what we offer as full service marina in the 1000 Islands with new, used and brokerage boat sales, full marine service, comprehensive on-site inventory of parts and boating accessories, 200-slip boating community and indoor, heated year-round storage at our sister company, ParkStor, located 1 km east of the marina. The Resort in our name alludes to our future condominium development.

Peter- I think you were beaten! I think we need a best out of 3!
I agree
Good video Doug! Greetings from Hong Kong! Scott
Thanks Scott! Fun to make with great staff. ~ Doug
Would have been cool to see the speed difference between engines and how high you mounted the Merc on the transom. Also the cost and recoup for the engines.
when people sell then the elite swoop in and buy it all up
Ray Hunt was not a fan of this design being over 15'
You can make a better video than that. Don't take them from the sky, get another boat to ride beside you.
Great! What was your top speed?
What was the total cost of the repower?
i love how you did no comparison because the etec is faster and better on fuel. also love how you put the smartcraft gauge front and center and boasted of it's features, yet conveniently didn't show the available digital evinrude gauges that can do all that one does and more lol. also the owners could care less about motors, as the etec was beat to hell. actually, the whole boat was and continues to be completely neglected and trashed.
I thought Evinrude was out of business. So why show available Evinrude gauges?

Man, you have some anger & envy issues. Learn to control the small mind. Cheers
I wish you hadn't run the music when on the water. I really wanted to hear the motor at speed, to see if it really was that quiet.
Very proud of all of you creating such a fantastic business! I have been a happy customer for over 12 years and look forward to the future. Scott H
Thank you very much, Scott. Appreciate your friendship and business and we look forward to the next 12 years!
"170 Montauk", ... not. Look it up, different boat.
Yes. It's a 17 ' Montauk. Good call.
Been a Mercury guy my whole life but recently changed. I have a 2009 75hp Mercury 4 stroke on my 17 foot montauk. Bought the boat with a new motor with 12 hours on it. I am meticulous about keeping up my eguipment. Servicing every 80 hours. Oil and filter change with mercury oil and filters. Lower unit oil change and impeller change at the same time. I have had this boat for 6 years and at exactly 1000 hours a low oil pressure warning came over the guardian system and I immediately shut down and investigated. Without any warning it has spun a bearing. Mercury was notified and they said out of warranty we will do nothing. The motors should last 5,000 hours when properly serviced and not abused. Very disappointed and will never endorse Mercury again. You should think about any Mercury Purchase.
Love my Yamaha!
@@smokeystriper Merc ALL the way skip.
I want to know how fast that new 4-stroke will push this Montauk, and I would have preferred to hear the motor, rather than the guitar riff, at WOT.

Going to that 4-stroke is really a downgrade, but man they sure beat the piss out of that old engine!
Sweet!

There's a petition you could sign, Anna Maria: www.change.org/p/stop-the-2020-flood-demand-that-the-ijc-reduce-the-water-levels-now?recruiter=43964827&fbclid=IwAR3_qFJMPpLP7gBCzAivoxSosKalnDOZZQMQsErKX8wy3DgbXoW8UZg0m0Q
No wonder they have so many happy customers on the River.
Where is all the extra water coming from? Is this a sign of climate change?
Having Lived on the St Lawrence River for 50 years we built a seawall and docks base on the early 70's high water .YES WE HAVE HAD HIGH WATER ,HOWEVER the water recedes, it does not stay .This year it stayed for months ,and the amount that should have gone down in 2018 didn't and then in January 2019 the IJC began to let water in (too soon). I see the water going down, now but it must go to at least another 18" .
Great video I suggest you include the contact details in the description of who to reach out to directly.
You could take the IJC survey to share how you've been impacted. Here is the link: ijc.org/en/glam/watershed/questionnaire/high-water-levels-2019 . In addition, contacting your MP and MPP is also recommended.
