Hello again, Question on switching stock police wheels to civilians XLT package wheels, for the lug nuts what needs to be done, since the police wheels installs with nuts but XLT wheels need studs type lug nuts?

Thank you so much for doing this channel. I just purchased a 2016 PIU. I am in the process of installing a third row flex seat due to their availability at local junkyards. I had a quick question. Will the flex seat belts mount inside the PIU? or would I need to purchase the explorer third row seat belts.

So i just bought an oem security/remote start. Hooked everything up and the remote start works. But i do not think the alarm does, and i do not see perimeter alarm option in forscan, any advice.? TIA 2015 PIU

Hey man, just wanted to start off by saying that I love your vids. I'm 15 right now and I'm thinking about a first car, and a ford explorer police was definetely one of my top choices. My dad has a White Grand Cherokee and ideally when I get my Explorer I'm going to mod it to look like his. I'm just questioning whether it's the right decision or not. I also looked at a Durango and a Corvette C5, so what do you think? Also, do you know of any performance mods I would be able to install? Thanks for your help, Stefan

The vehicles mentioned are all great, but I would not recommend any of them as first cars. They will all require funds for repairs. The best first cars are not super exciting but they are cheap to repair and generally reliable. I have yet to see a PIU that did not need at least $1000 of work done before it was a decent daily driver. Not a big deal for anyone making a yearly salary, but for a teenager I would have hated having to drop that money that should be spent elsewhere. The plus side is that it would give you lots of opportunities to learn about vehicle repair. If I were you I would stick with older Toyota, Honda, and Ford sedans. Regardless of what you choose I would suggest staying away from "performance mods" as any worth getting will be in the thousands and everything else is just compromising the reliability of the vehicle. Hope this helps.

Thank you so much for this video. I just purchased a 2015 PIU that did not come with key fobs. After following this video I was able to get a new fob working. I just had to enable it in forscan then do the lock/cycle ignition.

Should’ve done the black for the trim around the console and head unit. And swap out the steering wheel to the black ford flex one to match;)

I Dont recommend anyone to use this on their vehicle this stuff made me really sick and it leaves a nasty smell on your car I can't even drive my vehicle as for now. I will report that Amazon take this out.

Hi I ordered a roof rails off of ebay and it didn't come with the two little plastic pieces that attached to where the old ones go at the very front.Does anyone have a part number for those? I've only seen it sold with the whole roof rail System So if anyone has any ideas

I’m having an issue where i am getting my car to go into program mode for the key fob but when i click a button on the fob, nothing happens. i changed out the battery of the key fob and same result, nothing happens. not sure what’s causing this. Any suggestions? I would really appreciate the response.

hey, I appreciate your content, i have seen on some videos your speedometer is showing the airbag light, exactly like my 2013 piu, is there a way to correct this? maybe forscan? also ive noticed your piu is getting great mpg, it was like 21+. I drive only highway with commutes to work and am getting ~18 any suggestions?

It depends why your light is on, have you swapped seats? Forscan or an advanced scan tool can tell you the reason. Changing the sparkplugs/coils and conservative driving/braking habits contribute to the MPG. I also run a can of seafoam in my fuel tank each oil change.

Can you perhaps make a cubby for the shifter hole that utilizes the screws from the bottom so that you could still have chrome trim??

Yeah just remember to pour the water first and have tabs pre counted so you can just dump them in and then hurry and get out of the car. The vapors are some nasty stuff and can damage your lungs. If you want to be real safe wear a vapor mask if you have one. Leave it overnight and in morning open the car doors for 30 min to get initial heavy vapor out. Then close the doors and roll down windows and leave it rest of day to get any lingering heavy chemical smell out. One thing to note is not to park in garage or under a tree (birds may be in it and highly sensitive to vapor) or by anything breathing or living because the fumes are toxic as hell in high concentrations.

Awesome stuff, just got done watching all of your videos. This Friday I'll be picking up a '19 PIU with 67k mi and 11k total engine hours for $6k. A bit of a gamble since I didn't have time to inspect, but according to the logs they maintained it religiously. This is not my first gov. auction but it is my first PIU. Depending on what I find I'll either flip it around quickly or convert back to civilian trim and adopt it as the new daily driver. If I go this route I'll do the full conversion back to civilian trim since I don't want to be the douche driving the cop car, lol. Have you considered opening up a forum or discord channel focused on de-policing?

Hi, can you do a video or send a dm or pm on the possibility of rear A/C for a 2015? I just sold a 2004 Tahoe Z71 that had flawless A/C in it, besides being super comfortable. My Kids are mad as Hell there’s no rear A/C, just what’s presumably dummie vents in the headliner.
