Parts of it certainly are! Touch the boiler and it will burn your hand, the gas tank gets quite cold in use and thankfully the 3D printed wagon is far enough from the heat to not get damaged/warped by it. I would still be wary about leaving a 3D printed wagon in car boot or windowsill etc on a sunny day

Indeed stunning!!! Where is this railway? Or maybe, what is it’s name? I would love to see some detail on the semaphores and their construction. The metal arch construction is a beauty as well!

I think the signals were written up in the Gauge 1 Model Railway Association Journal... would encourage anyone reading this to become a member as the journal is a really valuable resource, not to mention the social benefits of membership. Railway is in south-east England.

Yes it’s a really sharp exhaust sound… sounds totally different to the Bulleid Pacifics which is very soft in comparison. Shame that it failed but also look forward to seeing it on the main line again soon.

They were made by a firm in the U.K. called the Gauge 1 Model Railway Company. This was subsequently acquired by Accucraft who have since done a few more production runs of these BR Mk1 coaches including a Buffet coach.

I presume this is a Barrett Engineering model, modified by you? Apologies if a wrong assumption. I have a similar Atlantic but with cut down SR cab and in black BR livery

It is a Barrett loco, modified by the previous owner to run on a different fuel, I was struggling to steam it and after consulting several local coal enthusiasts decided to modify the ashpan/grate which has worked well with the anthracite grains available locally.
