Ce n’est pas normal de mourir si jeune et ce n’est pas non plus dans la normalité de se retrouver veuve à 24 ans,c’est juste terrible ce qui est arrivé à ce très jeune couple qui avait tout pour être heureux.Leur bonheur leur a été soudainement arraché du jour au lendemain sans possibilité de retour en arrière.Comment un homme si jeune,sportif et qui s’est entraîné durant des années avec un mode de vie sain a t-il pu être terrassé par une crise cardiaque? Il était très en forme et en santé avec des contrôles médicaux réguliers et obligatoires dans ce métier et on ne peut que se questionner sur le pourquoi de ce qui lui est arrivé.Avait-il une condition médicale non détectée ou difficilement détectable passée inaperçue? Après toutes ces années je me pose encore la question mais il y à certainement eu une autopsie demandée par la famille pour avoir des réponses surtout pour sa fille au cas où il aurait eu une condition génétique.
It so nice to see how they developed their relationships for years. They looked so nervous in this interwiev but looking to them in those days, they always seemed more connected to each other.

Stunningly beautiful. One of my favorites. Have watched it dozens of times.
Oh Katia. They are truly one of the great and beautiful love stories of our time. She remembers so much detail. When she spoke of their early days, it reminded me so much of my first love. The feelings, the fear and trepidation, the wonderfulness of it all. For most, that first love is something we live through, then it ends and we move on, and remember it as a story of our youth. But for her, for them, it was their one true and eternal love. It was always said that their hearts beat as one, but watching this, I see they even shared the same smile. I wouldn’t have wanted to be in the audience during that performance of hers. I was too young then and I believe it may have been too much for me to understand. I don’t know if my young self could have appreciated it. But the audience members there were lucky. It’s not many times in a lifetime that we see something so poignant, yet so beautiful, and so brutally honest as that skate she gave. A skate that included many of the elements they performed together, but this time performed perfectly as one. One, held by the soul and memory of another. In their earlier world performances, she was referred to as “Little Katia.” But what she is truly, is brave, courageous, mother, and wife Katia, of one of the most beautiful love stories we will ever know.

He had a good camel position! I like his footwork as well! Seeing a skater who didn't do the most difficult moves can make us appreciate just how difficult the sport is, and also help us appreciate the basics of skating.
