Going to be starting pilot training on the crj this summer. Was interesting to hear about my company’s FA training. There are plenty of horror stories about the 200 from the pilot side as well!
Hearing from a former Skywest FA that Skywest Airlines sucks as much as it does is the least surprising thing on the planet. Worth noting for those that don't know: Neither Skywest pilots nor FAs are unionized, so that accounts for a lot of the difference in the benefits. People love to diss unions but just look at how much she got taken advantage of at Skywest versus how her mainline is actually providing things that are beneficial to ergonomics, health, and other things. Skywest made her pay for uniforms for God's sake and paid her 1/2 pay for reserve. You can't tell me that's not greedy and predatory. Good comparison here though, always interesting to hear first hand accounts of the industry.
very well said! especially what you said about us regionals (: I'm glad that everything is going well for you at your mainline airline and congratulations on one year!
It is a beautiful spot and enjoy and take your time no hurry
Becca, great vlog. I worked on everything from a 30 seat Saab340 up to an all coach 747 configuration of 501 pax....eeeek. there are as you said definitely benefits to both. Congratulations on your one year mainline anniversary
This was a great vlog for highlighting the differences between regional and mainline from someone with that actual experience. Thank you! And I love that you get straight to it and it was so informative! I'd love to hear more about your whole process with both airlines: applying and training and new hire stuff
Congratulations on your another great vlog. 16th may is my birthday! Happy Anniversary.
Really good video. Thank you.
Hi Becca I am really enjoying your videos and learning so much. I am considering applying to Skywest and hopefully transffering later to mainline Seattle. Did you feel working for Skywest helped you get a job for your now mainline? Or do you feel that it would be better to try to get a job with Horizon as a stepping stone. Any tips would be so helpful.
Thanks so much for watching! I do feel like my regional background proved that i could be successful as a flight attendant, and if you research skywest bases, seattle is one of them! Both companies have bases there. It’s up to you! Starting at horizon might give you a leg up on company benefits though, if that is important to you (benefits, etc.)
@@beccagleee Thank you so much for your advice!
YAY 1 YEAR !!!!!!!!!!! always enjoy your content....GREAT VIDEO so much information for someone thinking of going into this field......
Yay! Thank you!
Many years ago I worked in the hospitality industry. We had flight attendants stay with us every night Mon-Fri and then we had the whole crew on Fri and Sat nights. Most were a lot of fun to be around. My favorite was one who had the nickname Marilyn Monroe that was based in Atlanta at the time
I am a former Flight Attendant for 2 mainline airlines then a regional on 50 seater EMB145 loved both but had more fun at my regional
Yup!!
Congrats on your Channelversary!!
Thank you so much 😊
You're a PNW girl now 😜

Another flight attendant (jettsett with Jess) recently did flight school to become a pilot and is now working on her hours. She may be a good resource for you

Hi Becca. Love your channel. Keep up the great work. I agree they were probably doing extra security. Rob
Cool vlog! Also thrilling that you want to become a pilot! I know a couple of people who have made the switch from flight attendant to pilot and also there is a lady on youtube who works for American who is making the transition right now and is still flying the line as an FA and i think has her commercial pilots license the name of her channel is Jetset jess she has several videos about the journey and they are very informative.
Someone recommended her to me! I will check her out :)
No problem happy to help!
I definitely had those same feelings when I had to switch all of my car stuff over from WI to NC... it was extra confusing to me because I didn't know that I had to go to two different DMV locations to get my license and license plates. have you watched any of Jetset with Jess's videos? she is a mainline flight attendant who has been documenting her journey through getting her PPL and flight hours! (:
I have not but I will check her out!
Hey Becca! I've moved to another state also. You will never lose your Massachusetts feeling of home. That never goes away. Yes, there's a laundry list of things to switch over, after moving. You'll adjust. 👍

Ooh I love empties/use what you have content! (I also live on a road where cars seem to drag race... Listening while working and I genuinely thought I was hearing a car outside my house until you reacted to it. 😆)
Nice cute videos 😊❤️🇺🇸✈️
Where were you for the eclipse? It was so cool!
DFW!! I was given the trip by scheduling and had no idea it was happening until my passengers and crew were all talking about it!! We got to see it in totality, it was probably my favorite day of work so far
@@beccagleee That's so awesome! I was in NYC where we had 90% coverage and it was still pretty neat.
My fiancé and I did the hike when we were in Hawaii. The views were awesome. A fellow hiker and his son pointed out you can see the Royal Hawaiian, standing out in pink!
Yes!! You get a great view of Honolulu at the top!
That's for sharing another great vlog
