Thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge! I’m dealing with a supervisor who gaslights frequently!! 99.99% of my interactions with this woman are uncomfortable! I’ve heard of the book “ In Sheep’s Clothing” many times and I think I’ll get it! She’s pretends to be caring & supportive, but she’s really manipulative and even with the smallest things, she’s casting doubt… it’s so frustrating! Thanks again… very helpful and so are the comments from other people!!

This was a man I met on Facebook. I wasn't sure why he wanted to befriend me. But I did. It last about one month.I never seen him nor spoke with him over the phone, just chatting! He was suppose to be a doctor in the military. But eventually he wanted me to give him a large sum of money. I told him in the beginning do not ask me for any money. To make a long story short. He told me to watch out for people because they are very cunning. "He said, but I will surely remind you of all sh***t. He was really upset with me but I really didn't care. I think he does this to a lot of females and maybe some of them sent him the money. This dude is always hiding. You will never see him face to face. Always had an excuse saying the military has to register my phone number to call him. I wasn't going to give him my number. I felt he was a fake all the time .

Depending on the situation and what's going on ultimately determines my response but for the most part I down play and act oblivious to a lot but I don't miss too much of nothing! We living in different times so I always take that into account!

I've dealt with some very difficult people in my past and my path had been severely damaged by them because i was naive. I can say all you explained here is good advice, from the analysis, to the tips, down to the books. Good job. I also like how you haven't being judgemental. Not being judgmental is a good tool in general and even more around these people. Unfortunately the current social conditioning in the west breeds many of these traits in a lot of people and it might be tricky to define who's pathological and needs to be avoided and immediately distanced, to whose who are not and to whom one can use some empathy. Never underestimate the damage these individuals can do to you. If you do, once you understood it's already too late.

I want to write this, as a remember of how I feel in this 26th october 2023: 1. put me down 2. reverse pyschological, like I am getting mad the more I feel I'm getting stalked because of love. 3. I keep coming back as I get stalked. It is abusive 4. everything I listen is true here and it is not all about the stalker 5. I always need the affirmatiions of love. I hate why people kindness is feeling sociopath to me

I try to keep acquaintances and activity buddies, and not too many people that are in my inner circle. But this one lady came in to town and started asking for favors right away things like giving her rides to the airport her sons rides to the airport she's never asked for money, but she does ask for airport rides all the time, and for people letting her stay with them when she comes into town to visit I don't like to do that sort of thing and don't wanna host, so I think it's going to ruin the relationship we had. But I have to say no.

Not extremely smart, just extremely competitive and callous. I discovered these truisms when I was in Real Estate Sales for less than two years. Most realtors are as unprofessional as used car sales people. There are no friends, "it's just business.." The world is filled with this sort!

I worked for a three star in the military who targeted me from day one in the job. I did a wonderful job but was made into public enemy number one by everyone who would ever meet me. Now after being retired from the military for 8 years, and serving honorably 30 years, I cannot talk about my military career lest I trigger someone to mention me to another person who will look me up and say, "Oh hew as public enemy number one." or get a job reference and have not had employment. My wife supports me and now I'm too old to work. My CDM boss destroyed me. I knew it would happen but you can't run or hide in the military. I was screwed from day one. The only thing I could have done to save myself would have been to set an elaborate trap for y boss that likely would have back fired on me. Or reported my boss to the Inspector General but within 3 weeks my boss had shaped everyone's opinions and the narrative.

You can approach these psychos in any way you like. Ignore, fight, laugh at or hit them right there, or much later in an alley. Or just follow you're on trajectory, that will perhaps insult them the most, since they cannot win by playing fair - if you're far superior to them, in intelligence, ethos and productivity. If you like, you can write a diary, as a means of treating yourself from the daily workplace terror. There's not one true answer here. Some things are best forgotten, but when patterns are irrefutable, it can be helpful to write things down, while the memory is fresh.

CDM’s are much easier to catch out if they’re alcoholics who don’t remember the lies they’ve told you . I have two compulsive liars who live next door to me . I honestly have never met anyone so deceitful in all my life . And even when I’ve called them out on their lies they still continue to say they’re not liars and are good honestly genuine people. The spirit of the Antichrist is strong with these two individuals.

Everything you have said is true. I married a selfish, narcissistic, lying manipulator. I had no idea when I married this person he was this way. Yes, I’m still married and have tried hard to forgive, but cannot trust him at all. He was caught yesterday trying to deceive me, which lead to lies. I want so badly to be out of this marriage, it’s not really a marriage, I’m a caregiver because he has had two strokes, and that’s exactly how he treats me, a caregiver. Prior to his stroke he was still a lying manipulative con artist. I want so badly to be out of this situation, but, I know in the end, I will feel guilty, and he has nowhere to go.

If you operate from a position of learning from how you feel, you'll be able to understand when you react most, why you're reacting that way, and how to best deal with this type of person in the future. They feed on reactions, attention. As others have mentioned, ignoring them is what drives them up the wall, because you deprive them of validation. They will never change, they've always been that way. Stop feeling guilty, stop feeling like you did something wrong. It's all them, always will be.

I totally get what you mean I’m at work and receive a write up warning for not using proper equipment. The only problem is WE DONT ACTUALLY HAVE THE PROPER EQUIPMENT TO DO THE JOB so in all reality they are the ones that should be getting spoken to for not having done their job right and addressing their own responsibilities to provide proper work equipment for Weeks now
