Google Band Geeks tour and if you are near, go to the best live show of rock musicianship you will never see again. Jon is as elfin-angelic voice as ever. The Band Geek know their instruments are are amazing in their own right. Album in August.

So glad to see Jon Anderson with a band that doesn't have the baggage that the current version of YES carries with it. The guys in Band Geeks love to play YES music and Jon loves to perform it. These are no apparent egos. It's a match made on Heaven.

Was at this show, and i have to say, that even with Jon flubbing a couple lyrics, it was the best Yes show I've seen in 20 years, since the 2003 35th anniversary tour with classic lineup. 2008 with Benoit and Oliver Wakeman was good but no Jon Anderson. Was disappointed in the 2012 show with Downes on keys and can't stand Jon Davidson. Andy Ascolese is not Alan White or Bruford ( no one is!) but much better than Jay Schellen. Billy is very good but i miss the sound of the rick that Richie gets, really nailing Squire's tone down to the strings and the ric o sound etc. And his playing and singing are closer to the late great Chris Squire R.I.P. Liked Igor and Tom Brilslin on keys but love how Chris Clark can sound like Wakeman, Moraz or Kaye but brings more of his own style to his solos. Andy Graziano is not as good as Howe once was but has more fire and energy than Howe has these days. Overall the backing vocals of this group are fantastic, better than anything since the Rabin days. New songs sound very good, better than any Yes album since Magnification , can't wait to hear studio versions, (Richie is a great producer).Wouldn't pay to see current Yes but am going to three shows on this tour, Jon and this band really are the new Yes and Steve's band sounds like Asia without Wetton or Palmer covering Yes with a good karaoke singer. Just my humble opinion, but I have seen Yes 18 times, starting with the in the round show at the Philly Spectrum in '78 and i just hope Jon can keep going a while longer cause I really enjoy this lineup.

Saw them in Pittsburgh in 78 and your description is spot on. The one girl I should have married took me as a birthday gift back in 78. Went with my wonderful 30 yr old daughter to the 6/18 show as fathers day gift. That is Yes, in the round.

I'll never understand how Yes abandoned Jon. Singing sounds sublime. If i had a critique, I am not a fan of the drummer. Allowing for this being an audience video his drum kit sounds like cardboard boxes to me, combined with the micing and his style l just don't care for. Neither Bill or Alan. He constantly hits the cymbal rim shot, guess there is a mic right there. Still i would love to go to a show if they came west, not yet so far.
