    It's got the +4mm Injora Gen1 axles under it. These ones are pretty fresh still but I have another set of them with a lot of abuse, mostly very very cold weather snow and ice and they're still doing amazing. I use white lithium grease in mine for the Canadian winter because it isn't really affected by cold. Thanks for watching.

    The first run of tires DJCrawler introduced a couple years ago had stiffer side walls. They molded ribs on the inside of the sidewalls to make them stiffer.

  • @BroncLander

    Oh wow. And they discontinued that? So weird that they had me as a product tester and when talking about it and suggesting that, they never even brought it up. It was really weird working with them. I had to tell them to stop sending me stuff because I recognized the product testers aren't about feedback at all. We were being used as advertising. So I had to tell them several times to take me off the list.

    Thanks for the video. Got mine today and for the most part I agree. However I put them in the super soft DJCrawler 68mm pins and the Terra tread tires they make and they conform a lot better than those Hobby Souls. Just pointing out that you might get a bit more performance from a softer tire. But again I agree the new inserts are stiffer than they should be.

  • @BroncLander
    @BroncLanderАй бұрын

    Yeah the 68mm move a bit more than the 74mm. I found it's the length of the vertical fin as well as the distance between fins. I have the mudstuds also and just like the other 68mm MT they're very thin rubber. Definitely more conforming, but you just can't beat the traction of the Hobbysoul Mudslingers. They're arguably the best tire there is in a 64mm 👍 I took these yellow injora inserts out of them to put these in and I can't make it up the same obstacles as before

  • @BroncLander
    @BroncLanderАй бұрын

    Well if I had to choose between the Injora and the DJ inserts, I would get the Injoras. They're much softer and allow better grip. If you look on the FB groups, there's independent guys who print them too for reasonable prices.

    I might. It's the only way for it to be usable. I have another set of yellows and greens I put in a couple sets of 64mm and they'll have to come back out because they're evidently too big for them. Tbh, I might cut them all way way way back so there's only upper sidewall support and nothing at all in the bottom 30%

    1/10 scale RC with 4 inch tires. And as sold a full plastic roll cage. I added 22 gauge, sheet aluminum cut to fit. To replace vinyl body panels. This added rigidity to the chassis. Shock upgrade was unnecessary since there is so much free play and slack in the toys suspension.

    So, if you take throttle control out of the hobby, essentially using "cruise control", haven't you removed at least half of the skill from the challenge? Why even be involved? You really think steering is enough challenge for this to be fun? I'm not in the hobby, so if I am out-of-touch here, I won't be surprised. It just seems like the 3 challenges are: 1. building/parts selection/funding 2. throttle control 3 steering control If you remove 1 of the three, does that make it too easy? There aren't that many challenges to start with... It's supposed to be fun, is it still fun if you win with cruise-control? Wouldn't that be existing just to serve your ego (inarguably the stupidest part of the human consciousness)?

  • @BroncLander
    @BroncLander4 ай бұрын

    The point is to show what it can do under low power. Nobody drives like that. It's an example of functionality. You completely missed the entire point 😂 This is about how a brushed system is now capable of doing what a brushless system is. The whole point of setting the throttle to its lowest torque point where it can do the obstacles is to show slow crawl control.

  • @Bluntsmoke
    @Bluntsmoke3 ай бұрын

    This was a stupid comment lol.

  • @BroncLander
    @BroncLander3 ай бұрын

    @@Bluntsmoke yep. It's not even really cruise control. More just adjustable throttle position. If you set it at zero, it takes a bit of trigger to go. But bring it up to where it starts to move, then back off a bit and you hardly need to touch the trigger and t goes. I think the adjustability is great for tuning. Steering also. Love being able to trim it. Otherwise it would have to be done with the steering links/servo horn and it would never be straight. End points as well

    You have to try sensored brushless motor they have even smoother movement than a brushed motor will ever have. If you’re using a brushless motor without being a sensor motor then you will have those issues of cogging, but if you use it as a censored motor, it will not cog at all.

If you want to begin to hate the RC hobby, get an MT-12. Sure, this doesn't have 10 channels, or 12 or 16 or 32.... Whatever the hell Radiomaster says they have, who even knows? They say all kinds of things. And try to find the user manual or quick start guide.... There isn't one. You have to find it online. And nobody at the company is working on developing it.
