    i don't see what's funny about the scene, it's a lesson in responsibility .

This is a perfect video of how art is subjective because that scene is not funny at all to me.

It is beautiful to watch James Earl Jones go from molten fury to a softer voice as he tries to pass along a hard lesson the only way he knows how. Similarly, watching Denzel, it feels like he plays the father as a slightly younger character, and he sorta is making it up as he goes along. The biggest example of this to me is how much faster Denzel seems to be speaking. Struggling to put into words something that has only recently come into focus for him. Bullshit interpretation on my part? Probably.

I think the most common cliques in high school (particularly those you find in the cafeteria) are; 1) Emos 2) Punks 3) Skaters 4) Hispanics, and 5) Asians.

I thought Malkovich was outstanding as Lenny. Everytime I watch this movie I notice something new with that character. My favorite part of the way John played this part was Lennys face, body movement, and mannerisms every single time a pretty girl was on screen with him. One of the greatest actors of our time Mr.Malkovich is.

Both are great in their own regards, but JEJ started out so angry and then brought it back down towards the end. You really felt the scorn in the beginning, but brings it back with a teaching moment about it not mattering if someone likes you. Denzels is more of a sarcastic undertone the whole performance, and there's never a moment where you feel that heart to heart. Those are the biggest differences.

Lizaveta's murder is proof that-- despite Raskolnikov's careful planning-- he never had control. He was never the SUPERMAN, he wanted to be. Also, Lizaveta was pregnant ("she was always with child"). Depending how you view fetuses, the murder included a 3rd, innocent potential being.

It's normal to have a circle of friends but when you refuse to even talk to those outside your circle, IMO, that is a clique. I refuse to let my friends dictate who I can talk to or hang out with.

I remember being on the edge of my seat when I first saw the tornado sequence as a kid. The way it got so dark so quick & how strong the wind was alarmed me. At least with a hurricane you have time to get away, but tornados are just a whole other beast. As to the test footage, while its really impressive, I can see why they decided not to show the twister overtaking the house. Given how close it gets to the buildings and then the dust just seems to implode around it, people could easily assume the farm was destroyed and that Dorothy may have died and the whole journey to Oz was her in heaven or something.

James Earl Jones knocked this one out the park … He put the definition of “FEAR of THE FATHER” into you without hatred. HE MEANT EVERY WORD and scared the shyte out of me because that’s exactly what & the way my father would say !! Denzel is good but kinda snaking up to you. Waiting for you to slip so he can spank you. JEJ got this one.
