    my blue controller after 2 years died, or the heater died, either way its totally dead. all fuses checked ect. brought a new blue controller, still nothing... question. if i buy the motherborad / controller combo, do you think that will work.

  • @berko79

    Buying both will make sure it works. You could also gamble with just buying the controller - just make sure the plug is the same and it should work. Question then is, where is the failure: in the board or in the controller? No real easy way to find out unless you can borrow a controller which you know works.

    I know this is a few years old but just to point out you've put the impellor on incorrectly. Vanes/blades should be folded back in the opposite direction. Your pump will not operate properly and you will most likely break off the rubber vanes in a short time which could then block the water passage as well.

    Great videos... now just gotta do another video on the plumbing 😅 I wanna know if you have a mixer setup for shower or if you just have the temp set for ideal shower temperature. If you have a mixer, is it one pump from the tank, then teed off to feed the water heater and straight to cold taps? So one water pump to supply your whole system?

  • @berko79
    @berko7927 күн бұрын

    Thats correct, I have both hot and cold and mix. Yes the piping is like you mentioned with the hot water supply t'd off the cold line. The one thing you do need to do is put a one way valve just before the heater to stop the hot water flowing backwards into the cold pipe.

    It’s been a while since you did this, but from my experience with the same type of van with the vinyl stone guard on the front is watch that like a hawk man. As soon as it gets a hole in it get rid of it. There’s padding under it that will wick moisture and it will find its way behind the metal into the wood frame. As the vinyl ages it will pull away from the sealing compound on it and again moisture will get in. I’d replace the front where the vinyl is with checker plate. And the best stuff I’ve found to sealing edges, j mould, etc is bostik v4. Pure silicone that has huge flex and as it’s not an adhesive if you want to remove the j mould for maintenance reasons it’s a whole lot easier.

  • @berko79
    @berko794 ай бұрын

    Yeah you are correct it adjusts the fan speed. The interesting bit about how they work is the fan speed is not just for the hot air it puts out which warms us up. The fan speed is also for how much air it pushes into the combustion chamber and in turn how much fuel gets injected (more air more fuel = more heat). So yes the temperature/amount of hot air produced goes up with the fan speed.
