    Seems weird to get a gas forecast along with rain, sun and temperatures. 🙂

    the cinder cone has grown so large, the Lagoonies can see the actual volcano erupting. The reports from tourists that say "we didn't know about the volcano" has become a bold faced lie.

    You know earthquakes happen all the time. That last quake was at a😧depth of 5km so was not significant. Earthquake swarms rising to 2 km are but last time they evacuated it stopped and fooled them. Lots of people evacuated for nothing. So this time no matter what happens I think they are going to wait and see if there is any lava coming out of the ground then they will start to evacuate. So who knows what really will happen everyone can choose where they want to live in a boat, in a house on top of a volcano, on a mountain Cliff side. People are free to do what they want. If they want to evacuate no one is stopping them. It is their choice. So far in Grindavik all those people could have nicely slept in their homes they are still there.

    Long term: this entire volcanic system needs to be remanded into a vocanoc park sort-of like Yellowstone where a local population is kept very small...and mobile. The rest need to be systematically moved to safer ground (buy-outs, relocation offers, government land swaps, etc. it Can be done reasonably) and that needs to begin immediately starting with the most able and willing.

    Old concept: Dead men tell no tales. They don't want to raise the alert level because then they would be obligated to present a workable plan...which they Do Not Have.

    Hi Silki 👋 I think you’ll find this interesting… There’s a video called ‘The Next Pompeii FULL SPECIAL’ on PBS America channel and at the 39.35 mark they explain why they believe Campi Flegrei didn’t erupt in the 80’s, due to a layer of hard stone known as Caprock, they discovered it bends and say it got fractured back then which could cause problems now as it’s weakened. It’s a good watch 👍

  • @silki24
    @silki244 сағат бұрын

    thanks I will watch it , the caprock has been weakened to 1/3 of its strength through the bradyseism events, that's why the risk that Magma might find its way to the surface increases

    @@silki24 Another thing that astonished me was they found the pyroclastic flow under Pompeii to be one inch thick, but under Naples from a previous eruption, it was over 300 feet thick, saying it was a ten times bigger eruption than Pompeii! OMG can you imagine? 😳

  • @bartofilms
    @bartofilms5 сағат бұрын

    I'm not sure they can predict a major eruption 72hrs in advance. Even if it was possible, I don't think 72hrs is enough time for so many people to get away.

    Gracias for the detailed warnings with regional and even global implications. For a comparative perspective I watched a documentary " Minute by minute Mount St Helen´s eruption" that gives a good example of the importance of caution, in the face of uncertainty of scientists and the negligence of authorities :

    I can' t believe, that so many people mention, that the transcript is fake. How do they know this? The timeline is matching exactly till the end, when the Navy identified a sound as an implosion. I think, that Oceans Gate did not confirm the transcript, because they did so many mistakes and that, they want to hide. Instead of telling the truth, they called for rescue. But somebody leaked the transcript. Sorry, but just my opinion. After more than one year, I really can't understand, why investigations are not finished yet.

    Just issue the advisory to empty the area within 2 months. Those with common sense will be saved. Those without common sense will loose their lives if they are not lucky enough. If a big eruption happens,it will also trigger mt Vesuvius too and then its final nail in the coffin for italy.

    How many times can you go down that deep to see the Titanic wreck? Seems a bit OCD. It’s a sunken ship covered by growth and rusting with souls long gone. Isn’t it time to let that tragedy rest? All the obsession with seeing it. What’s to see. Morbid curiosity! Take a submersible in other directions to make new species discovery. Maybe not a good omen to keep wanting to see Titanic . RIP all souls🙏🏻

    I recall seeing a documentary from some years ago where the people around the Vesuv were aware of the danger, but kind of accepting it "lovingly" as their fate, should it erupt. Where would you go with millions of people? Plus: IF it erupts, it will not only affect a few kilometres around there, but thousands of kilometres. Therefore it is much more important to straighten out your life before God and with people around you than to find a "safe" place. We all HAVE to die sometime, it should make us wise and re-consider our priority! There will be eternal life and it is decided HERE on earth, where it is being spent! Jesus made the way there ...! Read the Gospel of John as a good starting point

    I thought G7 string summit laws thinks there's no room for the common good. Perhaps already the scientists got paid for the general public citizens safety but went south Thinking only certain people belongs to certain information to survive. That's why it's a pandemic law. So we need to report our findings to the appointed assigned Chiefs worldwide that we feel Help make life saving plans. I want to help

    If it erupts,it will spew enough ash that will block the sun for a short time. It could cause a very short nuclear winter,like just days but will cause crops to fail. It's not just localized effect that will occur. I would move out asap.
