... this is actually a core memory for me, and i just gotta get something off my chest for a second. People of KZread... allow me to sit here and tell you a thing or two about the Fallen -- because from where i am, its better left here; where it can be given reverence, and passed on -- hopefully immortalized for when Memorial Day, 4th of July, or Veteran's Day comes back up... ... even if you arent a soldier, or dont intend to read all of this; listen, and listen well. Because they mean more to us than even I can hope to help you understand. It began... with this song. This song that i play for the Fallen, instead of Amazing Grace, or Army Strong, or the National Anthem... I was 12. Just finished a Dumbots game. Won, after a hard streak against Einsteins. Was just listening to this somber tune in silence and reliet, when suddenly, something crashed in the other room, and i heard a loud thump. Turning it down, i heard something i never heard before, so i crept outside my room quietly -- to hear and see my Dad crying into my mother's chest. He had put a fist through the wall, and swept a table clean in anguish. I had never seen my dad cry before in my entire life. But seeing how he was harsh and strict and tough on me -- i just quietly went back to my room and listened quietly, with this playing in the background. He got on the phone and was rambling and cussing at somebody else, his voice still breaking. Only words i made out -- "Top's dead!" ...... i was old enough back then to learn the truth. My dad's 1st Sargeant committed suicide that day... 16 years later, and Im in the service myself, now. Ive deployed, been to the formal services theyve held for those who commit suicide, and ive had my fair share of military funerals... even as a kid. And its important that i share with someone, somewhere, at least once... what i understand from now, and what i began to comprehend back then. They always tell you to thank us for our service; that some gave all. Some of us tell you to not thank us. And we see all that is done in the Fallen's name. Its a sensitive subject, the Fallen... especially for someone who knew one of them. Its important that someone out there understands what they mean to us -- and that there is nothing that compares to the pain of losing them. Nothing. Because there is a difference ɓetween the Fallen, and even those who we're all afraid of losing the most. These are the men and women who grabbed our hands, and pulled us all the way into adulthood -- with support, and inspite of parental figures who may have failed us, or were never even there. These were people who we learned to lean on in our darkest, most frightening hours -- we may joke about trauma bonding. But its more bittersweet, harrowing and wholesome than you may ever know. These are people who stretched their hands out across the world, just to make sure we saw our children being born, getting wed; got our disabilities, and spent night and day making sure the ones we love, are taken care of to the highest degree. These are people with whom we shared happy memories, scary memories; laughed, cried, screamed at, and even bailed us out of jail, or drug us to the mental hospital, despite our pleas of being okay. These were people who valued our lives more than we valued them ourselves... people we wish we could call when things get tough. People we still call whenever we need help with a problem -- people we would part the seas over, just to see one of the brightest moments in their lives... These are people we love with a solemn reverence that will never be forsworn. When our beloved elders pass; i wont lie; it hurts a lot. But eventually, we all grow past the pain, and accept that it was their time. But there is no past tense for the Fallen -- for they are our friends. Our brothers. Our sisters. Forever... And when theyre gone, it never goes away. For some of us, theyre the one that got away -- a mere private who had their whole life ahead of them, and abruptly bit the dust, against all the hopes we had for them. Someone we know, deep down, that we could have possibly saved -- even if everyone tells us we couldn't. Other times, they are the best of us... people we wish they could call when things get tough, and sometimes dont know what to do, without them... Some of us still visit their graves -- decades after their passing. A place we can go to get away from everything. A place some of us wish we were, instead of them. ... the burden of carrying their memory, holding them in the highest regard, and painting them in benevolence rests with us. No one else. Its the one duty we carry for the rest of our lives -- because given a second chance, we very well might have paid that price gladly to have them help others or brighten someone else's day, just as they did for us. That's why they cant be grouped with others that have past; why there's no generic memorial service that does their memory justice... why some dont want to be thanked for their service anymore... because they deserved the support more, but didnt get it when they needed it most... Some day, may we learn to forgive ourselves. May we tell our children and our children's children about your sacrifice, as your memories teach us how to be true heroes, and better men. To the Fallen... the family we'll never regret. Gone, but never forgotten -- this tune, and all other solemn drinks i have alone in the future, i dedicate to you. We miss you.

We really need Killzone back. An origins game would be great, based on the early conflict between ISA and the Helghan, and they definitely need to mimic phisycs and visual aspect of Killzone 2.

Just so you know the Machine God and Omnissiah is two different entities. The Machine God is the GOD. Omnissiah is the 'prophet' of the Machine God. Mechanicus believes Big E is Omnissiah. Do not fumble this up. You pray for the Machine God, the Omnissiah protects.
