Stay away . The costs have gone out of control.. traffic is horrendous plus insurance and home to the CULT OF SCIENTOLOGY.
We’re coming out to Dunedin from Dallas in two weeks. Part vacation/part location scouting. We’ve been here 26 years and have been itching to live near water for the last fifteen. 😁 South Florida is just too…much, Tampa area is more the size metroplex we’re looking for.
Wow! Very cool. I do agree that living near the water is very awesome 😉. Dunedin is a great spot to check out! There are so many cute spots up and down the coast here so make sure to take a drive and see the sights! If we can do anything to guide you while you are in town - or even before/after - let us know!
I visited Gulfport Florida twice and wanted to move there! It's a really lovely town with a great library, great restaurants, friendly people and a wonderful nightlife. This was an informative video but I'm not sure why it's called You wont like it! Huh? I do like it.
I agree! I am glad you found it helpful! I called it that so as a play on emotions - because you will like it! 😀
Good video thank!!
Thanks! Glad you found it helpful!!
Con 5: housing is very expensive
Ya. I agree that housing is expensive everywhere. But it also all depends on where you live. To keep things in perspective, housing in other states is 3x what it is here!
Yes i notice heavy duty gay scene agenda here. All throughout Florida actually. Wild stuff.
Saint Petersburg is still kinda nasty. It has a few nice pocket area's. For the most part it hasn't been gentrified yet. Lot's of crime. Down town and beach area's ok. But even some area's of the Gulfport not very safe or nice
Hate the cheesy opening “so are you thinking of… insert video title here” So off putting. Otherwise good video 👍🏾
Thanks for the feedback. I will use slightly less cheese next time! :)
@@allaboutstpeteflorida 😊
Downtown Clearwater is awesome. People are very friendly. Lots of growth potential.
It is a very nice area indeed.
Growth potential.. lady we are full over here lol.
@@CherylJoseph-wf9uk I’m referring specifically to the downtown area with many empty commercial spaces offering potential to open local business.
How about the cost of living? The cost of living in St. Pete, housing, Publix, restaurants, etc. is obnoxious. How does SH compare?
Great question. Will mark it down for another video!
Actually very helpful. 🎉 I always wondered but never thought to look it up
thanks. glad it was helpful!
The condition of Lincoln cemetery is enough for me to never live there
!!
LOL, okay Karen.
Is the area around the Fairway Village nice? Some crime maps suggest high crime around there.
I can't give you specifics on crime, but I can tell you that the area around Fairway Village is close to Starkey, Hwy 19, and Ulmerton. These three streets are more industrial. I wouldn't say the area is bad or not nice, but you might like heading a little more west where there are more sub-divisions.
I grew up in Largo, back in the 70’s, went back about 10 years ago to see how much things have changed. And you are right, there has never been a “ down town”.
haha exactly. They should change that!
Ugly homes …box style …
This is what I been looking for 🙌
glad it helped!
Great video. Thank you.
Glad it helped!
Super helpful to understand the area. Thank you!
You are welcome! Glad it was helpful!
Thank you 🙏 help me a lot to take a decision if am ok to live in a unincorporated area. First time hearing about this
My pleasure. I figured it might be helpful and I am glad to hear it was!
Planning a week long trip in March to check out the area. currently living in a small town in San Antonio, called Boerne. Similar to Dunedin but no water.
How interesting! I have not heard of Boerne, but if it's like Dunedin I like it! :) Hope your March trip is great. If you need any help figuring out places to check out, feel free to reach out to our team.
It is generally a cool town. I own a home here that I rent out. I don't like all the dogs. Everyone that lives here seems to have one. I had a huge problem with a neighbor that had two large barking dogs. Keep that in mind if you move here and you don't like dogs.
Thanks for the info. I agree that pets can become overwhelming at times. Hope that your situation gets better!! If it doesn't, we are happy to find you a new place for your awesome rental :)
I’m Scottish living in Dunedin Drive in Glasgow! Do I get a discount? Lol. Great looking wee place🏴🇺🇸
Haha how interesting :)
Greater Pinellas Point encompasses the area from 54th Ave S to Tampa Bay, bordered by 4th St S to the east, and 34th St (US19) to the west. It is one of the largest communities by landmass in the City of St. Petersburg, FL. Many homes along the southern shoreline have fantastic, prized views of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge. It is a best kept secret of single family homes, mostly well kept mid-century modern 3/2 garage homes and mansions valued into the millions. It has an active civic association as well.
Thanks for the awesome info! I do agree that it is a pretty well kept secret!! What is your favorite part?
You’re welcome. My favorite part of Greater Pinellas Point is Lake Vista Park. My favorite part of St Petersburg is Greater Pinellas Point followed by Old Northeast.
Con 1, Homeless, drunk homeless passed out on the sidewalk
Oh my. Yes, that can be a con. Unfortunately, that is in a lot of cities these days. I can only hope that a better life falls upon them one day.
Pro 2, Walgreens, I don't think you live here. lol. First, you didn't collect your costume jewelry on our beaches. Suggesting Caddy's for people that live here. lol, No that is a tourist spot. Enjoy the $50 for parking.
An honest opinion and good attitude is what my team and I try to provide. Oh and we look to have some fun in life - otherwise what is the point! The video holds our thoughts and suggestions are for all - whether you live here or not.
I think you may be confused about what the term "New Age" means. If anything, Gulfport is probably one of the more New Age communities in the area!
Thanks, but not confused. I think I just didn't define the context very well of what I meant. My meaning was that Gulfport lacks modern technology, big box corporations, and all the things that make a quaint and unique area not so quaint and unique anymore! I understand your thoughts and yes, ...it is very New Age and a very open minded culture. What is your favorite part about it?
Was there this year, beautiful town, but the price of homes is astronomical!
Yes amazing town! The prices have gone up for sure, but there is always a gem in the rough!
‘I can’t live like this’: Shore Acres residents prepare for another possible flood
There are a lot of areas of flooding in and around the Tampa Bay and St. Pete. I talk about this in one of my other videos. There are ways to prepare and be ready!
Sir, you should have done your homework. Central Florida is mostly low lying area. Stop purchasing in flood prone neighborhoods
@@ashleysullivan3411 I live on the water in Shalimar, FL 35 feet elevation. No flood insurance here. That is a quote from one of your Shore Acres locals. And FYI - it's Ma'am not Sir.
Coming to visit and explore the area for 8 days the end of the month! Can't wait.
yay! I’m sure you will have a great time! message us if you need anything 🤗
It has a lot of traffic morning noon and night with 8 lane freeways every where.
There is for sure more traffic these days, but it can ease up certain times of the day!
The cons, real-estate seller ruining a city just to make money.
dude, shes got 350 subs, don't sweat it - lol
Not sure what you mean? Hope it gets better!
I live in West St. Pete. West St Pete is from 58th St to Intercostal. The SunRunner is a bus that runs on 1st. Ave north and south from downtown to the beach. It is not anywhere else in the city. You appear to know very little about the city. You have ignored a lot of the awesome areas especially when highlighting the 3 places you have. The mall is definitely not a highlight of the area.
Hi Marie. I may have mis-spoke on the Sunrunner - not intentionally if I did! I know the area pretty well - as does my team. It is true - there are many many other cool spots to highlight, but the video would have been really long! This is one summary of many. Highlights of the area will be different for everyone and varies upon lifestyle. Glad you like St Pete! ....Maybe you can enlighten us with the places you like best so everyone can get some extra value.
I live on long island. My brother lives in Tampa. How is the job market? And how are the people there? Friendly or rude? Also how is crime down there? Thank you!
Job market is good. I think it recently got a little better than the last couple years. People are people. Some friendly, some not. If you are a friendly person, I don't think you will have any issues meeting nice, friendly people! Crime varies - you can search that directly on a few consumer websites or city websites to get the most up to date information. The area is large - so much of this depends on where you are. But I think you would like it here!
@@allaboutstpeteflorida thank you so much for the great feedback. I appreciate it 😉
Its not so much the bugs. Its the people who live around there. Angry, bitter people including toll operators. By the way if you get too close to a toll bridge but decide you don't want to cross they won't let you turn around unless you pay to go across. They love to rip you off whenever and where ever possible.
I hope your next experience is better! I found a smile goes a long way these days :)
Con: Road rage! People treat each other poorly. Better know exactly where you're going all the time. There are much friendlier places to live. Stay away.
Unfortunately you will see that anywhere these days. All things to consider, ya? :)
Dang
Your traffic sucks every weekend. Your beach access is blocked by hotels and condos and every year Gulf boulevard gets dug up. Most cities put up Christmas decorations in December. St. Pete Beach decorates with orange traffic cones. The sand on the beach is hard packed but don't you dare ride your bike on it. And don't get me started on your total lack of surf. Moved out of SPB and to Ormond Beach years ago. Never going back.
ok. thanks for your thoughts. I definitely agree that there is no surf!
Can you do Seminole? Your videos r amazing thank you!
Sure! I will add it to my list! ....and thank you!
Wow never heard about this being a sink hole area. Pretty much right on with the rest of the description. Just remember with HOA s you have well kept neighborhoods. I drive through all the other areas and one house is beautiful and next door is OMG 😱. Pick your poison.
Well technically any area can be a sink hole area. Some are just more active or well known than others. 🙂
Very informative video, love your hairstyle in this one you look fabulous :)
Glad it was helpful. Thanks.
😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢 love U MyDream
I prefer Hallandale beach Florida beautiful city good beaches and restaurants and growing businesses and communities, and good night life.🫡
Thanks for sharing.
Moving in 1 week can't wait
You'll want to leave after a few months...
yay! can’t wait to welcome you!
Your video is very beautiful. I like it a lot. I have been trying to talk to you for a long time. I am waiting for your response. Please give me a chance to talk to you.👍👍👍
My wife and I are coming to the St. Pete/Tampa/Clearwater area in January 2024. We want a "SAFE" place to call home in Florida. Looking to rent in a Concrete/Steel building. 2/2- 1000sqft.. NOT THE GROUND FLOOR and less that $2500 per month.
Welcome to the area! I am sure we can help you find something. Send us an email at [email protected] with your contact info so we can coordinate with you better and provide you 1-1 service. Look forward to connecting.
I visit treasure island every year, especially Caddy’s On The Beach. And I absolutely love it there. Me and my wife are about to come out there in two weeks for our yearly vacation to the Tampa Bay Area.
That is awesome! Thanks for sharing. Hope you enjoy your vacation 🙂 Maybe a vacation home is in your future 😀
The whole state of Florida is a huge flat peace of sand sorrounded by water...it's just a sand bar full of nursing homes....very very very flat. You can drive for hundreds of miles and it all looks the same...lol...gets very monotonous...mostly people stay inside all year with the Air Conditioner running...it's Bars and Restaurants on sand...
Ha ha yes it is very flat. I think there are a few small hills here and there. But it's still pretty enjoyable!
Lol, not true. When I lived there for a bit I spent a lot of fun outdoors. Florida is a lot of fun!
Stop your nonsense!
Rent is absolutely outrageous.
Agree. Rent is outrageous everywhere these days though.
Not true!
What?! 😃 Sorry not sure what part ur talking bout.
I don’t know when it come to these types of place it really nice but I don’t see how it can be a forever home bc after a while it get just like any other place ..
Well if you love a place then you would want to stay there "forever"! Plus, it can always be an investment :)
