Welcome to Get With The Pilgrim!
I invite you to join me on a journey through Spain on the Camino de Santiago, one of the most famous pilgrimage routes in the world.
Walk with me through quaint villages and scenic countryside as I explore the history, culture, and spirituality of this ancient route.
My videos aim to capture the beauty and wonder of the Camino Frances route which is more than just a sightseeing trip, it's a journey of self-discovery and personal growth. Follow along as I depart from Saint Jean Pied De Port and finish my 800km trek in Santiago De Compostela.
I'll show you some of the best places to eat, sleep, and rest along the way, and share tips and advice for planning your own pilgrimage.
Whether you're a seasoned hiker or a first-time traveler, the Camino de Santiago offers an unforgettable experience that will stay with you forever. Follow my journey and discover why millions of people from all over the world have been inspired to make this pilgrimage.

Thank you sooooo much! I loved your video ❤
Hi Ed, Just discovered your channel. It’s great to watch yet another pilgrim letting us participate in his Camino experience. Thanks for sharing. I did it by bike from Germany to Santiago. Check it out on my channel, if you like … my comments are in German , but I’ve put on English subtitles for my international friends, and most of it is visual anyhow. Looking forward to seeing your next episode! 😊 Buen Camino from KaterOnBike
All the best with this new venture Ed! Happy to come on and chat if you run out of interesting guests. 😊
Thanks SO much, Simon! I will absolutely take you up on that! I’m certain you have some great stories to tell regarding your Camino adventures and I believe, you have a BIG project coming up that listeners would love to hear about! 😉

The owner at Larasoana is a magnificent host, with lots of stories to share. We had a great breakfast there. It was lovely to see you include this stop in your video ✌️

Thanks John! It was a bit of a delay but worked out for the best!
I also lunched at that bar in Larrasoaña. It was very delicious and the attendant was super nice!
Yes, a little off the path but a great spot. The owner made it a nice rest stop too!
Great video! In May 2022 I began my Camino at SJPP but I've booked Albergue Borda, 2km after Orisson, before. It was a great albergue! And it made easier the Pyrenees crossing.
Thanks Helder..appreciate that! I might consider staying in Borda on my next Camino. I’ve heard great things!
I want to walk in either April/May our Sept/Oct- what are the rainiest months?
From my time there (Oct 2 - Nov 4) it rained about 5 times. I’ve heard that Spring can have it’s rainy days too but if (or I should say, when) I walk again..I’d pick the Fall to go back. It was wonderful hiking weather. Good luck to you when you go and Buen Camino!
I thought I would make myself your 100th subscriber mate :) Enjoyable watching Ed!!

May 18 will be my first day.walking Camino Frances. I'am walking past Roncesvalles my first day to Burguete. Hope I make it lol. But it seems quite a few people walk to Burguete their first day being Roncesvalles is fully booked a lot of the time being such a popular stop.
That’s fantastic…and a long day lol I wish you a great start to your Camino and beautiful weather would be a plus as well! Roncesvalles is quite large when it comes to beds..we arrived late and they opened up an older wing for us. If you’re feeling like calling it a day when you get there, you can always check and see if they have room. Thanks for the comment and Buen Camino!
Yo~ like it!superb shaaring. catch you later- Ed, =)
