Thank you so much for the info on how to easily open up the Muse, it helped me a lot! For those looking to replace the screen themselves the part number is N070ICN-GB1 by Innolux, or if you're just looking for a replacement digitizer, like me, the part number is DH-0774A1. I found a replacement on Aliexpress with part number HXD-0774A1.
can you please provide a new link?
the code link doesn't work anymore
NNNOOOOOOOOO the link to the google drive no longer works
Thanks for posting. I have a project to do and this really will help.
Have you had any success painting polyurethane rubber?
I haven't tried to be honest but I expect you would need to have a rubber-based paint with a solvent in it which would also work on the poly casting as well so they bond
Hi, Did you use mold release? looking for a release that removes polyurethane from silicone. Thanks
you can use a mold release but its not really needed, you can buy silicone mold release spray if you really wanted to
@@NicoProps Cheers bud
is one of those part a and b the hardner?
GREAT VIDEO …. Thank you for sharing !!!!! Is it too complex to have both the KZread subscribers count and a clock switching after certain time ?
how strong is this material? because I want to make a mold that can be pressed, please help me
Could you mould tank tracks in 1:76 scale using this method.
Can you cast tank tracks using this method? What is the minimum thickness you can cast with this stuff? I have a few kits that are very old and the rubber of the tracks has gone very brittle and snapped. I have been searching for a method of reproducing them for my models since they look silly without tracks, lol.
Thanks, very informative, and I love that your not mixing powder into the resin. Silly question, what brand/model is your scale and where are they sold? Can’t find it anywhere.
Hi Chris. I fairly recently had to replace my hybrid inverter as it went pop and I had issues with the company that supplied it. I ended up going for the Epever Upower 3000. The same as you used in this video. After seeing part 2 I was looking forward to seeing how you got on with it, as I have issues getting the inverter to stop topping up the battery charge and drawing from the mains when the battery is fully charged and the voltage is well above the values set for it to stop charging from the mains. I have it as Solar Priority and Inverter Priority but it will take a tiny amount from the battery then flip back to taking the supply from the mains. I can't find anything anywhere on this. So I'd be really interested to hear what your experiences were with this unit. Thanks.
Nice, now time to set the timer to turn on the TV exactly at 12 am each day play video clip from Bloody Mary 😈
Isn't polyurethane toxic?
can you use polyurethane rubber on water based base clay
Just overtaken you on the M4, saw your youtube address on your pickup truck. 😀
Great tutorial, many thanks x
How much does it cost to cast one of the pu circles? Wondering if it would be cheaper to buy them or made them? 🤔
Nice video And pu rubber is one of the best shock absorber rubbers. 🤗
I believe my local maker space has a laser cutter of the same brand , I think its a newer version but does the cutting of the eva foam release anything toxic? They have an air filter hooked up to it but it does not exhaust to the outside so I want to be on the safe side and not expose anyone to toxic vapors and such. TYIA
What hardness did you use of the Urethane rubber?
Seriously, you needed to show his to put all the elastic bands on?
troppo simpatico Chris! very friendly and informative. Thank you
thanks
Hello I am looking for a pourable expanding curable rubber that I durable enough that I can fill the tires on my electric scooter so I can avoid getting flats do u have a recommendation
honestly, you might be better off just buying solid tyres for your scooter, I did that for my 2 electric scooters. I did try some stuff called slime which is used in bicycles to help plug punctures but it didn't help.
Is there a hard rubber you can cast?
you can buy this in different hardnesses
I like the idea of using pigment powders instead of actual metal, but can they get wet without washing off?
yes they can because they are embedded in the resin. if you do have some concerns you can always hit them with a layer of clear coat
Do you think we can use this to make shoes outsoles? Would it be resistant enough?
wondering this same thing
Where do you get your glass?
Awesome job trying to figure out if I want to cut my leather into pieces
How is your experience with EPEVER products? so far so good?
How hard is Smooth-On vytaflex 60?
a quick google tells me it is 60A shore hardness ;-)
@@NicoProps I know it's 60A but I wanted an idea how hard is that?
@@smarterthanthem6304 i'm not sure how to describe it, I guess its 2 thirds as tough as a trainer sole at a guess. so just a bit softer. you can order sample cured pieces from most decent suppliers if you wanted to check it first. its what I did. I don't use smooth on products as they are expensive in the UK due to import costs and there are other brands which are much much cheaper here.
I found the polytek 70 on Amazon now, When I was searching for the past few days I didn't came across it, Now one question how hard is the material is it hard enough to use as an embossing material when pressure is applied?
@@smarterthanthem6304 it should be yes, for paper and the like, if the plan was to use it for leather then milling it out of brass, copper or aluminium would be best.
Pretty great quick shield.
thanks, i'm pleased with it
any chance you can give us the part number on the replacment screen?
i just got it direct from FSL there was no part number when i got mine
Would this apply to casting a hard polyurethane rubber too?
yes it would, however the powders are likely to rub off over time
þrðmð§m ☹️
Just an FYI - you can find the bottle cap signage at a store called Hobby Lobby here in the states. Looks great thanks for the tutorial!
nice, thanks for the info.
Great video, why do you need the separate charge controller, does the one built into the inverter not meet your requirements?
i didnt need it exactly, however I have and up and coming build of a windturbine and I wanted to keep that on a separate control. also in my original configuration of the solar panels the charge control on the inverter wouldn't have been able to cope with the solar at full output.
quick and dirty. the rf remote is a nice trick for tv's.
not overly keen on your choice of words but yes, I would have said an inventive solution, doesn't sound as bad ;-)
@@NicoProps I mean it is a quick and effective build. dirty in that the backside isn't exactly elegant due it being a fast and unseen part of the crimes you are hiding.
@@blizatrex ah ok i get ya
Nice piece brother
thank you, just got to edit the last part of this video together the testing and showing off bit ;-)
Looks great. I like the use of the hot melt as a dam for the etching.
its quick and easy, and i have tons of hot glue sticks as I buy them in bulk.
How do i make the eyebals. We dont get stuff like this for halloween
I bought them from Amazon, if you are not able to order them online you could make then fairly easily using a white bouncy ball some of the red wool and a bit of latex with colouring in it. basically you would need to improvise, maybe use a bouncy ball make a cut in the back to stuff a load of wool in and trim to suit perhaps? there is a link in the description to the eyeball I bought on amazing, links for both UK and US amazon sites but I am sure a half decent joke or fancy dress store could help you out.
Omg my grandkids will love this for halloween
yeah they will, could just put one in the jar and make him wear a patch lol
Gonna be a very nice blade 👌
it is a fairly good blade, razor sharp. i still need to edit the video of the testing and put it up, I've been having some troubles with my mental health so everything has sort of slid a little. i will catch up soon and get a load more videos edited and up
Very nice!
thanks, make sure you watch the rest of the videos on this series
Came across your video by accident. Glad I did. I started thinking about ALL sorts of signs that would look great. When I see works like that it's like stepping back in time 👍😎
thanks, i'm glad it is of use to you, I made my own because I found hop bought ones the rust and patina was in the graphic that is printed on the sign and it looks crap basically and to my mind just not good enough. go and have fun making signs and stuff and let me know how it goes would love to see the results.
Very cool ..maybe my next project I already have the cricut machine.
sounds cool, dont forget to share your results
Great video, thx. Is the PT-Flex 70 rating on the Shore A? What is the hardness rating for silicone rubber?
its measured in durometer normally, but you can order samples and test them with a Shore A meter
silicone is measured in shore A, I think I used a general-purpose silicone so about 29-20 shore A
What do I do if I want a matte finish? Is it the pigment or the PU that determines the finish?
sorry for the delay the alert didnt come though so I have only just seen this, so if you want a matt finish you need to make sure your master has the same finish you want the finished part to have basically.
