I love when you do these. It inspires me to go through my own knits. Right now they're in a bag in the back of my yarn room closet, as I have intentions to repurpose the yarn...but I know it'll just sit there. I should just send them to new homes. Also, I LOVE your Great Garter Bomber! I am so glad that one stays. :)

And I'd never heard of the Muse tee but OMG it's SO cute! I'm glad you're keeping it to see if you'll wear it more! 💕💕💕💕

It was so much fun following along with you on your TDF! I am also a big fan of cable plying, so it makes me happy to see you have so much fun with yours. I bet the Karacul yarn would make a great crocheted or coiled basket! Just an idea for a use, since I can only imagine how ropey that must be!

Thanks so much for sharing your journey through TDF! I have some fibers that I want to learn how to spin from the fold from.... I do want to learn fractal spinning, but I know I prefer the way stripes and color controlled yarns look. (Yes I'm a bit of a control freak) Now to get back to other requirements. Like the test knits I'm participating in and the kal I'm a part of and and and ... 😅

I thought the “instructions” meant opening all four of the skeins on “the first” day - and doing a gradient+fractal (1/2 + (1/3 + 1/3) or something) with the total length of the 4 days, but that might be cheating? :P And good on you for taking the time you need :)

The colors of the fiber are lovely. 🥰 One of the things it’s good to do when you have braids is to unbraid the whole thing and kind of shake it/ wave it back and forth to introduce air to make it fluff up more.

I remember my first raw fleece😍… can totally relate to the enthusiasm! If you’re interested, I would recommend BF fibre arts and her ‘No fleece left behind’ videos. I’ve found her method extremely helpful for heavier vm fleeces, shorter staple lengths and those with a bit more 2nd cuts. I use either one of my hand cards or flicker brush and find it a lot less stress on my wrists😊

If the news are bothering you you could try combing the fiber. I (try) to comb first for the very best prep, then I put it on the drum carder for the second quality. I am loving watching your fiber prep journey. I have been scouring and prepping fleece for a while now but I still get all the feels and your excitement is contagious!
