Yea sounds sick bro! I've listened to a bunch of Behringer UBXa vids and that synth really misses the mark when it comes to the title "clone" What you're playing here sounds alive and rich not lifeless and dull like the behringer. Ive got the Oberheim Xpander myself...nothing beats the real thing.

Yes! I've owned an OBX, OBXa and Xpander (and a bunch of Matrix-1000). I've also worked extensively with a vintage Two-Voice, and the X8 is right up there with them. Although it's more limited than the Matrix/Xpander series (which are really modulars IMHO!), with all the OB8 and SEM stuff implemented, the extra LFO and no extensive menu diving like the Matrix series, this may be my favorite Oberheim yet. I wouldn't complain if they made a new Xpander/M12 but this is the heart and soul of the Oberheim sound. ♥

Yes very musical, nice sounds Too me what is unique to this device as a delay is the env follower modulation, it creates some amazing "non linear" delays when assigned to delay speed or delay filter for ex. It's also possible to create some very unique delays by adding some tape, saturation, etc. in the chain ( when I do that I us AH as a send / return, then put delay fully wet and adjust other parameters dry / wet mix and position. ( Note this also works when making custom reverbs as well for ex
