    I am getting an error message on my 790 pro as soon as I turn my machine on. It’s a green mat (fabric?) under the foot. The mat thickens changes, and the foot goes up and down. What the heck does this mean? The only way to get past it is to turn my machine off and back on an again. If I X out of it, it comes right back.

    And the fold sometimes takes up space and the top fabric does not meet the corner. Rip and redo. Not anymore with this ruler.

    How do you go around the quilt corners with this foot? I’ve tried different ways but it’s just not quite right.

    THANK YOU Mike!!! I was loathingly about to follow another video that would have me remove the entire case from the machine to get to the whole post to cut off all that thread, when I saw your video! So easy and it only took 5 minutes. Most of that time was in sliding so much thread away! :)

    I sure liked this technique of folding the 4 charm squares better than other ones I've seen where you cut out the 4 charm squares into circles. Thanks Jackie for the easier technique!

    The root problem is twofold in my opinion. (1) By design the bobbin thread passes over the face of the bobbin with EVERY stitch, and (2) Bernina failed to specify applying an overcoat protection to the silver markings.

  • @sewspecialquilts

    They've fixed the problem and all new bobbins work great!

    Then Bernina needs to step up to the plate and replace, free of charge, the defective bobbins.

    This looks great. What width did you originally cut your binding? Will it work with narrower bindings?

  • @sewspecialquilts
    @sewspecialquilts Жыл бұрын

    We cut our binding at 2.5 inches. It would work with narrower bindings however the distance between bi-level and stitch area is about 1/4 inch. You will need a larger width than the 1/4 inch to have the 2 levels to use the foot correctly. Hope that makes sense!

    The Stripology ruler is - hands down - the tool I use the most (aside from my rotary cutter). It is well worth the purchase. If you like to get the cutting done quickly, so you can get to the sewing (the fun part), I highly recommend getting it.
