  A lot of people are confused why the rain came falling down, If you watched the older episodes of Bleach or forgot - whenever Ichigo has doubt about himself or his strength or is unsure of it the rain in his Soul Reaper World comes falling down. That’s why in the Karakura Town Arc when Ichigo has to fight a fake Bankai Tensa Zangetsu the entire world is submerged in rain because Ichigo stopped moving forward and lost hope, he was despaired - Ichigo always is in this series.

  i read this on the tvtropes, Rain is symbolic to Ichigo's tears while the building is symbolic to Ichigo's Hope,. Old man Zangetsu is his partner the one Ichigo trusted the most, when Old man Zangetsu tell Ichigo that he is not Zangetsu, it start raining and the building destroyed, Ichigo feel so sad and almost lost hope because Zangetsu is very dear to Ichigo, his Zanpakuto is not his tool but his trusted partner. in the end Ichigo accept both Hollow Zangetsu and Old man Zangetsu regardless of their origins and They are part of him

  I'm still mad that they didn't let Byakuya die here. It was the most perfect and beautiful ending for that character. Everything went full circle, his stern dedication to duty became regret, he asked Ichigo for help, his sword scattered. Them bringing him back ruined the entire scene.
