Since I have read the Taiwanese version of the original novel I Want to Meet You, I will give you some spoilers. The concept of time travel: infinite reincarnation of the Möbius strip👀👀 Conditions for time travel: listening to the song "Tears" and the cassette, the most important thing is to see the other person's heart👈👈 Pay attention next! ! ! I love this series. I'd rather read the boos though.
I do not condone whatever Penelope has done.. the end never justifies the means. But her actions always come from a place of desperation and love for the people she truly cares about ie. Eloise and Colin. She is far from perfect... but she loves so strongly and dearly and compared to book Penelope, show Penelope takes more risks and comes into her own despite life weighing her down needlessly.
I can't wait for s3, to see them become a beautiful couple and for all the antis to have nothing to do but cry about it.
I really don't like what they have done to Penelope. I still love her because I know book Penelope but tv Penelope seems manipulative, cruel, petty, and vain. I also prefer book Colin, he was so much more mischievous, I feel like Benedict stole some of his personality. I suppose though they will have Penn kind of turn on the Bridgerton's in the show for a while and maybe distance will make Colin's heart grow fonder. Like he will realize how much he misses her support and will fight to get her back. I just better get my carriage scene since there won't be my favourite scene (the mixed up proposal with her little sister).

She embodied the character so well ,u can feel every emotion with her especially her love for colin , she really is perfect for it ,also colin they r a perfect match, I just love their story and their growth as individuals

If you think the show is being cruel by stringing this romance over our heads, it's not particularly the showrunner's fault. Penelope and Colin's romance is the main plot of Bridgerton book 4, which is probably what season 4 is gonna be based on. So we probably won't see Colin and Pen actually become a couple until after season 3, which is going to be about benedict.
So Everyone is hoping for Polin in the next season but I think their relationship needs more time. What I am hoping for/expecting: After Eloise and Pen argument/Colin being a little prick, I see Eloise as too selfish, and self-centered when I read the books I had the same feeling. Penelope needs to stand up for herself and not be a victim, open herself at least for Eloise. They are both young and they have plenty of space to grow. I believe Eloise will keep LW's identity in the dark. There is a point in the 3. Book where basically LW saves the heroine. I can imagine that Eloise will ask for help/Pen will help out Sophie from that situation so Eloise will forgive her and recover their friendship maybe be Pens partner in crime. There are many dialogs in the 4th books where I can imagine Eloise gaslighting the other Bridgertons about LW's identity. Colin suspects Eloise to be LW so the series and the books in the manner of the plot could meet again. Colin and Pen. I don't want to hurry these two so their relationship needs to develop. For example without Eloise Colin won't meet with Pen as often. After Pen realizing Colin is not perfect she can stand in front of him as equal not some blushing crush stroken heroine. In their books I enjoyed the part where they had just fun and witty converstation. Flirting friendship first, some conflict between the two, and the steamy romance lastly. I want to see Pen to love herself, to stand up for herself so she doesn't need LW anymore, not because of Colin but herself. Obviously I want the kiss asking and the carrige scenes but first thing first they need to grow.
You realize the value of some people when they leave your life. Poor Colin..

I have a prediction in mind instead of that. First he'll have to try to win her friendship over after her falling out with Eloise. Then she'll lash out at him for telling him she heard him say at the party giving us her, "I never asked you to marry me, and I never said to anyone I wanted you to ask me either," line. and I think the third arc's subplot will be about Penelope recovering her relationship with her two favorite Bridgertons. Although I do think the parallels between Portia and Penelope (that I have on good authority is actually her favorite daughter,because she's not empty headed like her other daughters) It will be interwoven into the Cinderella plot. However in the final episode of the season just as Colin returns to Cyprus. The Queens side shall pay her a visit. Your move, Netflix
In the book Colin is the one that mends the friendship and apologizes for hurting her. He’s the one that should reach out not her.

In the book, she was written so well, but here, some viewers might feel she is manipulative and always plays as victim, its even harder to convince myself otherwise, but I know she has suffered her own losses. She simple holds her head high, while crushing under the weight of destituion, unaffectionate family, over judge mental society, under friend zone, unrequited love and weight of secret identify and hurting her own friend. She has most of the scars of all, Colin really needs to come to his senses faster before Penelope is too broken to ever allow herself to be loved.
