Very difficult if you buy from a certain place I initially bought mine. The vinyl was more like sign vinyl and not air release vehicle wrap vinyl. I had mine custom cut on Avery Denison Supreme.

Oh yeah not a problem at all. Just remove the existing cloth and replace with the leather.

When you did the rbp steps install was it hard to remove the b pillars to run the magnets. I’m getting a set soon and that’s the one step where I’m nervous yanking them off. Seems like the top part with seatbelt overlaps the black part that needs to be removed. Thanks in advance. Truck looks great by the way

The wiring was the hardest part but it’s pretty straight forward, just tedious. I think I remember watching a video on how to remove the b pillars. It was easy after seeing how it’s done.

Great job by the way. Looks perfect! I have a 2007 Silverado that has been my workhorse for several years. It is bare bones with old-school roll-up windows but it is the best truck I have ever had. I want to give it to my daughter with the interior in mint condition. Hope I can do something similar.

The seating surfaces are real leather but areas that incur heavier use (bolsters, back rest) are generally leatherette (vinyl). Katzkin generally has more real leather than OEM.

If you are talking about the "Rolling Big Power" words on the steps themselves, its barely visible at all because of the downward angle of the steps. If you are talking about the RBP emblems on each of the motors, 13:10.

@@todd4468 You literally cannot see it. My truck is in the garage right now and I can walk right up to it and the logo isn't visible. The steps would have to be spotlessly clean with the perfect light angle to even see a hint of the logo.

Amp offers a pass thru. Yes it separate but allows for an open OBD 2 connector later. I like the 2 motor part. I dont like having to fish the added magnet strikers VS Amp. In all they both look the same as far as height and operational over all. Enjoy good luck with the lifter issues GM has hope you got a good one

No Instagram. 6” Rough Country (which I love!) and 20” Fuel Lethal Wheels with 35/12.5/20 tires. Bought it with the lift, wheels, and tires already done.

None yet but I think because of the mud tires. The tread gaps are wide so they don’t pick up many rocks. If I had all terrains on it I’d probably go with some fender flares. I’ve been thinking about the Rough Country SF1 flares paint matched.

What level of quality was this leather? Katskin has different grades from vinyl to expensive soft, Italian grade. Were the back of your front seats (and sides of lower cushions) also leather? Thanks for helpful video

Did you have to pull up your carpet at all to install the power steps? I just got a new Trail Boss and cringe at the thought of having to pull up the carpets.

No you don’t have to other than the front passenger floor in order to get to the underbody “plug” to pass through the wire from the battery to the control box. All the rest is run under the door sill wiring “tunnels” under the sill trim.

I would definitely do RBP again. I like the two motors per side, which is now available on the AMP Extreme ones. I also like that it doesn’t tie up my OBD port. I’ve heard of one person who’s warranty was voided by a dealer because of the plug and plug AMP steps...granted I didn’t think that was possible. More anecdotal than anything. I just didn’t want anything connected to my trucks electronics beyond the battery.
