I was not vibing with this dude at all. From the moment she asked a pre-op question and he wouldn’t give her his full attention. I would have noped out of there. My cardiologist never rushes me. When I ask a question he usually pulls up his heart model, shows me an ECG to illustrate a point, or pulls up data points from heart monitors I’ve worn. He showed up early to talk to me in pre-op. He also wears a backpack. Not a Rolex. I like a nerd doctor. Not a jock doc.

I have two questions. What is your image preference while monitoring a patient that has cranial aneurysms and is MRI safe after having clips placed to repair the aneurysms?

Is it possible to get cauda equina symptoms or similar higher up in the spine? I fractured C7, Th4 and Th5 in 2009. It healed well without surgery. But last week I did a very heavy wrong lifting and felt something wrong in the thoracic level, with pain all the way down to the lower back. Sensation problems with bowel, less force while emptying. Some sensation issues in penis and while urinating. My doctor says lumbago and pain meds for 2 weeks, but I’m not totally convinced.

I suffered a burst brain anuerysm the night my husband died. 3 brain surgeries, a shunt, and months of not being coherent and later going home alone, then losing my house, has left me lost. Not knowing what happened to me, what I experienced, haunts me. Thank you. Your video touches me deeply.
