Well, to be honest the AK is just a different breed of riffle . It does what it's supposed to do well and really doesn't fit in the "Tacticool " world.

Ak for Aesthetics and AR for performance imo. Mainly because I prefer the balistics of the 5.56. But if I could get my hands on one of the Polish 5.56 Ak's I would be a very happy boy.

Just buy budget. You’ll be fine in SHTF. All you’re doing with a $3000 rifle is being a gold loot crate if and when you get killed.

Ok, I heavily suggest not getting 10.5 inch barrel, that’s pretty poopy, 14.5 might be better for what this guy described tbh

There is a 1913 picatinny rail mount on the market that attaches to the a2 front sight . And it's plastic, so it won't mess up your rifle's finish

That muzzle device is a booster intended to help gas the system enough to operate the long stroke piston. A silencer or can will do the same thing with traditional baffles not flow through type.

When have you ever used the forward assist? My FN doesn't have one and it saves weight for sure. If my AR10 had an option for it not to come with one that's what I would of done.

The MCX series is good but definitely needs to be reduced in price. Nothing about it is worth $2500. This rifle should be selling at ITS HIGHEST $1700.

A castle nut sling adapter is easy to attach and even with the sling that is on that rifle you can have a 1 point attachment for an easier carry.

What I like best about combat shotgun setups is that you don't need to spend $900 on it for it to be good. Flashlight mount is like $30, decent flashlight runs around $100, a shell sleeve is about $10 and a sling is maybe another $30. On a $500 pump action, which of course is high average for pump shotguns, you haven't even breached $700. Sure all that flashy MagPul stuff looks sexy, but what does it do that I can't with a $10 rattlecan and a $30 flashlight mount? I mean sure, tube extensions are nice, but not strictly necessary in the same way as a sling or flashlight.

You know you can't always polish a turd, but if it's a decent turd you can polish it and that's kind of what this thing is. You buy it as a complete rifle you learn with it. You get good with it and if you like it, you upgrade it with some parts or you replace it all together. It's up to you but you can make a $400 gun. Feel like a 2,000 other gun by adding another $400 into it over the course of a couple years. Change the charging handle. Change the trigger. Maybe the grip, whatever else you want into it. You want to spend a little bit more money. Maybe upgrade the barrel once you've worn it out maybe you want to make it shorter. Maybe you want to make it longer. You can't always go shorter, but you can go longer like if you live in the State of Florida, you can definitely turn that thing into a hunting rifle. If you just give it a longer barrel, put a decent scope on it. Change the trigger a good bipod and if you already thinking about getting a suppressor. Why not?

Can either you guys actually shoot a gun with iron sights without all that other crap that's on the gun here's a suggestion put just the front side on H&K style both eyes open what you see through it is what you going to hit see if you can manage that and then show it to your viewers by the way if you can do that that's a real accomplishment that very few people can do same thing with a pistol because that's the way they used to do it before all this other gadgets came along and why do you keep turning on and off the safety all the time take that thing off

While it may not be as good as a DD, it's good enough for 99% of the people who aren't professional competition shooters or Spec-Ops warriors who are dumping thousands of rounds a week over months at a time. Train with it, put a red dot and a light on it. It should get you through that 2am bump in the night confrontation without problems.
