    When upping the power,, its wise to increase speed with similar load so that the torque load isn't that much higher. RPM is easier on drive train than lb. ft. of torque.

    Does JD come out to repair and replace seed baskets/rollers etc… Seems like that could take all off season to repair and maintain

    Pretty blue gear! New Holland with the rear tracks is a good look. Do people like that setup? Never run one but it seems like a good option. Monosem planters were definitely good planters. Now JD owned right? Not a high-speed rig (at least not the older ones), but very good planters otherwise.

  • @MichiganFarmPhotos

    This farm does really like this planting set up with the T8.410 Smartrax and Monosem planter. Correct not a high speed this is a twin row planter though and yes Monosem was bought by John Deere.

    Has the drive train also been adapted to the higher demands? The triples look very good. The Low Sidewall (LSW) 1400/30R46 tires could also be an alternative to protect the ground. Thanks for sharing.

  • @MichiganFarmPhotos
    @MichiganFarmPhotos3 ай бұрын

    Stock drive train, the owner knows those tractors very well and doesn't abuse it and it has held together very well so far. LSW's are cool and great for compaction but triples just look so mean!

    It is an impressive loading machine but it is more efficient loading from the harvester on to trucks then trucking the loads to the beet handling facility.

  • @MichiganFarmPhotos
    @MichiganFarmPhotos4 ай бұрын

    Less compaction with the trucks on the road, but yes it would be more efficient loading direct to a truck.

  • @vervaet17t
    @vervaet17t2 ай бұрын

    Less mud on the roads and compaction in the fields this way. Not holding up the harvest operation for trucks to come. Lower labour requirements. Cleaner beets going to the factory. Lots of positive reasons for this system.

    If only Deere would've had the engineer that Kinze had for this repower, they would've had a lot nicer-looking 60 & 70 series. To me, those series never fit in the JD line-up in that era, but this one DOES. Excellent job Kinze...the hood, grill and front light bezel looks like it's supposed to for that era of Deere.
