On Ares Colony, my base reached from first block placement across at least a couple of KM's. While the floor angle wasn't an issue, it did start to become noticeable.
There's a mod or plugin for toolbars which allows you to save/load/marge state across games that's worth checking out. You appear very attached to your toolbar layouts 😅
Yeah, I like my layout. The toolbars are saved in the game save files, so I could copy it over that way too, but I might have a look out for your suggestion.
I like the simplicity of using landing gears and the single connection point in the back.
The tether is a a massive improvement over the first version, the whole creep/connection process worked better than I hoped.

I remember building the original a few years ago, I learn lots, usually after something blew up.
I typically have 2 sound systems in place, one for the defense block because of their extended range for detecting enemies(enemy detected), and another linked to the "main cockpit" for (military alert) if/when someone/something target locks you. Personally, I dislike that you need an entire separate block to play the sounds it's always such a pain trying to find an entire blocks space to put the speaker that is out of the way and doesn't look messy. The event controller and combat mode AIs should have their own sound block built in if you want them to broadcast an alert. [/edit] It's also worth mentioning that a single event controller has multiple pages of true/false conditions so you can control more than one group of blocks for a single condition without the need of timers. Though if you have exuberant amounts of groups that need controlling, ya' might need the timer anyway.
I agree with the, shall we say, lack of development by keen in the use of sound in the game. We are kind of heading that way, could put sentry bots out further, use antennas to relay a a signal back to the main base, which could then activate an alert. I do know about the extra slots in the event controller, and sensors, my habit is to use timers and its a habit difficult to break. I do find it easier to check if something is missing or broken in the program if I use the timer.

It's a beautiful design. I would have more heavy armor.. And like using turrets and foucus on being pilot. So you dont faceplanting foes. Hmm.. If you post it on steam, will try a heavy only build
I was thinking about the Green Frog, I used heavy armor on that and it just made it heavy and slow with little defensive benefit. So it was an considered decision to go with light armor, although the winglets are heavy. I will get around to publishing it at some point, keep an eye out.
@@futurewellington6012 good, sure almost impossible to make it do everything. But slow sniper with weapons for distance or fast fighter with more hit and run thing. Small cheap. Its a bit boring doing just sniper, but hit and run soo difficult Custome rocket maybe, two on each side... Soften the defence.. I am getting ideas..

Still haven't quite got the hang of the speed mod, keep coming in too hot. The two large atmo's should be sufficient, I think it's the pilot that seems to be the weak link. Just wait until the next stream, that weak link shows up again.
It feels to me like your camera for the solar tower is positioned wrong?
I gave up on the solar using the turret controller, it bugged out all the time and I don't think it's just me. I reverted back to Isy's script
@2:58 wondering when you realize a miner should have an ore detector. You got it! But I think when you replaced your power efficiency module on the base assembler you just put back another power efficiency module instead of the speed module. I could be wrong and I'm 3 months behind :)
Can't remember specifically, but including ore detectors on my mining ships is something I often forget, it's not a game glitch, its my brain glitching 🤯

What ever you like. I previously had grinder pits, extra storage, infrastructure for things such as lifts, but normally it just ends up an accessible service area for conveyors etc.

So what's different or improved?
Upgrade to resource processing, permanent tether for outwards goods, projector system that does away with need for merge blocks (previous bug the rig sometimes stayed static), flexibility in the grid it welds up.
So the coveyor junction at rear of that fancy refinery is still purple vs. grey. Also the todo list is missing a key item. The Aquarium. Unless it's included in habitat subcategory
I bought a grav comp. with me especially for it.
