This brings back a lot of memories. My dad played the CD version of this album. I hadn’t thought about it before, but the late David Sanborn sounded a bit like saxophone player Wilton Felder.

Wonderful version by Bernadette Peters (on TV). Not to compare with this, of course, but the lyrics are very beautiful. Thank you, Oscar.

Never heard of these bad boys of jazz til 1982, Montreaux Jazz Festival. Saw (HEARD) them, was immediately converted to a Crusaders fan! Wilton Felder-what an amazing player!!

Gorgeous beautiful melody along with portraits of Oscar's face throughout the years. Like his music, the older he became, the more lovely his music got along with his appearance which became more majestic with age. He was a beautiful man in so many ways from musical mastery to his sweet soul. He is still with us.

We played this song at my dad’s funeral a few week ago. This is the fist time I’ve listened to it since that day. I was scared of finally accepting. I miss you dad.
