😂bring it up to NorCal I’ll buy it! All seriousness I put the 650kv motor like all the rest of fms 1400mm planes have and it flys fantastic. They’re back in stock too finally. It’s well worth the mod. They should’ve upgraded loooong ago. Doing the motor mod to the 1700 too . Nice flyer and video thanks for sharing! …. Does everyone out there have an Rc channel? 😂

CG can clearly be over looked. And only thing expo. Should be needed for is the nose wheel steering 30%. Expo will sneak up on you once you past the soft point , I said for 40 years in this hobby , playing with the radio don’t make you a better pilot. , flying does. Glad you saved the bird. To fly another day !
He’s been flying longer than I’ve been alive lol. Has more turbines than I do foamies and he just set this one up. He’s flown it 5 or 6 flights since this video and resolved the issues.

Thankfully he’s not a snobby turbine guy. And he def doesn’t think expo is cheating haha or gyros.

as far back as you can.. tail heavy makes it easier to throw the jet around..flight characteristics can be different though so be aware!

Balance lead got caught between servo arm for canard. Was holding right aileron & elevator trying to keep it up. Soon as i centered the stick it pitched down & left 😂.
Nice flying... Too bad for the last alpha... Probably the battery was too weak and the demand of power was more than the battery could give, hence a stall to the right wing!
Battery had 48% left..

For those wondering, the factory timing setting for the Hobbywing ESC is 30 degrees. For the HET 780kv motor I was running, I had needed to turn the timing back to zero. Basically cooked the motor 😂
The NTSB report we all needed!
