People will hate on him, because of the drug scandals (and they're right), but damn, he has a beautiful swimming technique nonetheless.

This is so good. I did a beginner course at the local pool and didn’t take much from it to be honest. This single clip gives me something to work on every time I go to the pool 👌

This is the best swim technique video. I can´t get enough of watching it in 0.25 playback speed. I like to study every nuance of the stroke, and each time I learn a little more. Then I go to the pool (like this morning) and focus on a particular aspect of the stroke for every 50 meters. Today I was noticing the timing between the hands as one spears and the other pushes back. The power hand is just about finishing the catch (at 45 degrees from the water surface) as the spearing arm enters. Sorry if this sounds really dumb since I´m a newbie.

Wonderful. I don't realise how can it be that since one week I see every day this video. His technique is very impressive. He breathes one side and I love it and I'll try it. Thanks a lot for sharing this nice video.

El movimiento de piernas es diferente cuando hace la brazada con la derecha a comparación de cuando lo hace con la izquierda, esto no lo enseñan cuando uno es principiante

As someone who just started swimming, I was told to never breathe on one side only. Also his entire technique goes against everything the "pros" have told me. Idk I should just stick with whatever works for me I guess, the problem is that I cant find it lol I suck at breathing, kicking, even the arm movement. I am depressed I cant swim

Dont be diacouraged. You have to master the basics of balance and body rotation to swim like this. Most swimmers cannot do this. Perhaps even the pros that taught you.

right, his competitors act as if they haven’t been “doping” before, nearly everyone has had to use every advantage to get to that level it’s a matter of being caught.

He seems to have two major kicks coupled with two small ones in between. For instance, as his left arm pushes back he kicks with his left foot. Then he does two small kicks followed by another main kick by the right foot as the his right arm pushes back. His kicks are perfectly synchronized with his pulls.

Chinese + too good at something = > jealous + hate. Can you imagine those small Australian and English people do that to Americans ? American swimmer Madisyn Cox was tested positive in 2018 for the same substance as Sun yang was in 2014. We shall see how she will be treated by those "righteous" English and Australians.
