Arranged by the Andrews Sisters' great arranger Vic Schoen. Ella Fitzgerald's scat recording of Flying Home would be described by The New York Times as "one of the most influential vocal jazz records of the decade."

He actually makes that harmonica talk when he bends those low notes. It's not always about how fast you play, it's the feeling expressed through the instrument

Fats was quite the performer...it is sad he didn't live long...he would have been great as a guest on The Jeffersons or Good Times or even Amen.

Ella Fitzgerald is quoted as saying about Billie Holliday, "I owe a lot to her because, through listening to her, I learned a lot about how to sing jazz." This highlights the significant impact Holiday had on Fitzgerald's musical development. Billie Holliday-no one ever sang jazz better than her!
