Is there a situation where perfectionism is beneficial?
@IxchelAyre8 күн бұрын
@@VADALESS thanks for your question. Yes, I think for example if I was on an operating table and a doctor was doing a heart transplant, I would need the doctor to have precision and be as close to perfection as possible, because maybe "good enough" wouldn't cut it. Curious to hear how this continues to go for you! Especially your hidradenitis supuritiva. We are 35 days into carnivore as a family and my teenage son has HS. It seems to have calmed down some for him, but I can't say that it's actually healing yet, but we remain hopeful!

Hi there! thanks for your comment! So, same here, I've noticed the inflammation calm down a lot but its not completely healed and I still get triggered. For example the other day I put a sweet and sour sauce on my meat and it obviously contained sugar and I flared up and my wounds were raw and painful, so I realize I really need to stay away from sugar as much as possible. I will definitely give more updates as I go along on this journey. Thanks for following along.

The mistake you make when you start carnivore. Is thinking about fasting? Why on earth would you want to even think about fasting??? You just need to eat and keep eating until you no longer feel like eating you. Stop eating when you are satiated, Not full. full is what you feel like when you eat a standard American diet.
@IxchelAyreАй бұрын
yes, I wont be fasting anytime soon, currently im just eating when im hungry and stopping when i feel satiated. what i meant in the video is that this a diet that would eventually be possible to fast on since i feel sustained for longer periods of time. thanks for the support!
@magnessskippton2509Ай бұрын
"Carnivore Zen" The sugar crashes were a withdrawal symptom, as your body primarily burned carbs. Your clarity is because you are burning ketones, which is the preferred fuel for your brain (any glucose your brain needs is manufactured in your liver by a process call gluconeogenesis). This should also help with your depression. BTW wait until you are completely fat adapted and able to fast for really extended periods. instead of a crash of energy, you just get genuinely hungry (like you might have been as a child)
@IxchelAyreАй бұрын
Carnivore Zen!! Thank you, I forgot the term. Are you also on the carnivore diet? I assume so. Thank you for your in-depth comment @magnessskippton2509. I can’t wait to see the results from being completely fat adapted including improvements in my depression and pmdd symptoms and having a flat belly of course hahaha!

Beautiful video. I just want to say that, having been through depression I found this video to be very comforting and uplifting. It’s great to find a therapist who can make the time to explain in detail what they’ve been through. Someone who’s experienced depression for themselves is much better to help another person navigate. Though I hate to see you cry, on one hand it does speak volumes about you that you, left this moment in the video and didn’t edit it out. That’s what we all need; keep that conversation going with someone who can be vulnerable with us, honest but, also has the experience to help us manage these complex emotions. On a sidenote, I love your accent.
