I’m a 28 year old from the Bayous and Swamps of Louisiana. I’m an Actress, Photographer, Pastry Chef, and Travel Enthusiast based in Los Angeles, California. I create resources for Black creatives who want to escape fear and share their creativity with the world without compromising their integrity, creativity, faith and most importantly, without breaking the bank.
Believing in the power of my dreams, I will do what it takes to achieve them and push others to theirs. I like to say, I serve as an “Artistic Inspiration” to little Black girls everywhere.

I am disabled and a power wheelchair user. My disability prevents me from driving.I want to move to California for graduate school and to start my career as a therapist. The cold in the mid west is so hard on my body and increases my chronic pain exponentially. Disneyland is also a massive plus as I’ve collected Disney for my entire life.

Finally a positive video about California I’m so sick of hearing people and watching videos on people just completely talking bad about the city. People just focus on the negatives about the city as if every city doesn’t have flaws. It’s been a dream of mine to live in California since I was a kid. Visited twice in my teen years and loved every second of it. Can’t wait to move there
And I wanted to thank you so much Tyra for your part of this video regarding deaf or hard of hearing customers. My mother in law and father in law are deaf. They as well as the deaf community just appreciate any communication ☺️ I do know asl-not great but enough and it’s really helpful. A deaf girl works at my local Target and we always wave to each other and if I forget the sign of something, I just ask her. No one needs be scared or uncomfortable-like you said - they just can’t hear 👍👍🤟🏻🤟🏻
I just had such an entitled horrible woman with a shipt order last Monday. 2 of her items were out of stock, one being a children’s sweatshirt. I sent her a nice message- I looked for options and sent her edited beautiful photos of what is available in case she would like a replacement. Her response was “ this isn’t helpful.” She also never replied to the intro message from me and she also said “ can you go to another Target and find my items without me being charged?” I knew this was going to be a major issue and my 5 star rating was going to be ruined. I called Shipt to have me removed. They called the customer and she claimed she didn’t know a person was shopping her order. 🤥 She then demanded a phone number to call and complain about me (because I was doing all I could for her 🙄) and the only reason I know that is because the Shipt support person texted me the info by mistake. I delivered and she’s waiting at the door in her 1.5 million dollar home-was so nice to my face then 10 minutes after I delivered she left the horrible rating. I haven’t gone out to do a single Shipt order since (all week) and I just noticed Shipt has me back at 5 star with her rating removed (I didn’t ask for rating forgiveness. My integrity wouldn’t allow it)|

This is why I don’t go out at night anymore ! Especially in urban areas where homeless are around and lawlessness is the norm ! You were another lick to them ! God definitely had you that night ! I would have been so scarred and it would make me move out that city !

This was good! I wish I would have come across this video sooner. Ive been in California for 7 years now and its been really hard these past few years. Ive decided to move back home because of the lack of community that I tried to build. Im going to take these tips and try doing more things solo without feeling awkward🙂
Love your recommendations! As for the emotional support animals, there are responsible renters and those who manipulate the system. It seems like it is an unnecessary added expense, but when you constantly have to replace flooring and make repairs, owners end up passing the cost to other renters. One dog can easily cause $5k+ in expenses. As a landlord, this forces me to raise rent. Unfortunately, many people call their pet an emotional support animal and in the long run, it hurts future renters.
I started with IC. That being in&out of the grocery store on top of having to deliver got old fast...
I would love to move to LA!

How would carrying a knife or a taser help when you are robbed at gun point by 2 people? You may end up being killed if you do that.
It may not help in that specific situation, but being prepared is better than not.
