I don't recall them being watery or with thick skin. They just plumped much more. Talking late 60's and early 70's here. I think the big difference is that they were owned by Hygrade Food Products back then.

Oh you got one. Very nice! that they sent you one. I love product promotions. I don't get them on my cooking channel, though lol. We get them on our camping channel here and there. That's a pretty little oven. It does have a great look. I like the design. Oh that's neat that it comes with a cover and all those gadgets too. Looks great on your counter. I had to see what others are saying about this brand of frozen pizza. I am in LA and bought a Gino's East Deep Dish frozen pizza for $6. Never had deep dish before. The crust tasted off. The sauce and cheese were decent. They need to work on the crust. It was frozen so I wasn't expecting top level pizza

Oh I'm not good at recording things. I never remember how I made something lol. I agree with know your equipment. And that's really with any recipe. Not just pizza. Ovens are not all the same. You know, I've never really given pizza a lot of time. I've not even done an overnight dough. I should definitely give that a try sometime. Yeah the handling rule seems to be kind of the same for a lot of breads/pastries. Over needing can mess with it. Nice tip to use a little cold water or olive oil if it's sticking to your fingers. Yeah. Many will say you should always weigh your ingredients. I never do 😬 I can guarantee that I've never made two pizzas the same lol. Thanks for sharing your expertise on this subject. Never hurts to get good tips on how to make a good pizza.

@@PaulieDetmurds In all honesty -- as one pizza enthusiast to another -- I deeply respect your commitment to the craft, man. People who don't make pizza with their own hands, don't understand the passion. I loved hearing you talk about the feel of the dough. It's so true...but in my case, I haaaaaaate kneading, and that's why I decided years ago that I would buy my stand mixer. I would rather be hit in the head with a shovel, than knead dough. lol So for me, it's more about LOOKING at the dough, to know where it is in its development. When I was starting out, I always tried to time it, and gave myself anxiety by always checking the clock. Now, I just look at it, and can tell what's going on with it. But I totally get you, man. There's a real love that springs forth from the heart, when you're making a pizza. It transcends the concept of, "this is delicious," and becomes more an activity that stirs the soul. And when you nail it, you bask in the afterglow of a job well done. That's why I make pizza, anyway. Cheers, man!

Yes, I forgot to mention that the look is obvious when the dough has been kneaded long enough. I do have my kitchen aide mixer, but just love the art of hand working it. I am considering on getting an industrial size mixer sometime soon? So, what am I really up to? LOL Yes, one should do what works for them. @@PaulieDetmurds In all honesty -- as one pizza enthusiast to another -- I deeply respect your commitment to the craft, man. People who don't make pizza with their own hands, don't understand the passion. I loved hearing you talk about the feel of the dough. It's so true...but in my case, I haaaaaaate kneading, and that's why I decided years ago that I would buy my stand mixer. I would rather be hit in the head with a shovel, than knead dough. lol So for me, it's more about LOOKING at the dough, to know where it is in its development. When I was starting out, I always tried to time it, and gave myself anxiety by always checking the clock. Now, I just look at it, and can tell what's going on with it. But I totally get you, man. There's a real love that springs forth from the heart, when you're making a pizza. It transcends the concept of, "this is delicious," and becomes more an activity that stirs the soul. And when you nail it, you bask in the afterglow of a job well done. That's why I make pizza, anyway. Cheers, man!

Yes, I forgot to mention that the look is obvious when the dough has been kneaded long enough. I do have my kitchen aide mixer, but just love the art of hand working it. I am considering on getting an industrial size mixer sometime soon? So, what am I really up to? LOL Yes, one should do what works for them.
