Hello when will the next zoom be scheduled 😊
We haven't scheduled the next Zoom + Knit meeting yet, but keep an eye on our newsletter for updates!
Really clear and helpful. Thank you
Is there a way to reinforce the join?
Hello! You'll be able to easily reinforce the cast-on row when you weave in your ends!
This is my preferred SSK method by far and I've done comparison tests. I think it creates the tidiest decrease especially if you give a tiny tug to the stitches at the end. You made great tutorials.

So,beautiful 🎉🎉
Thank you for such a clear tutorial! I have watched many videos on the crochet cast on, and yours is the first one that's actually worked for me.
Thank you so much for this very clear tutorial! I really appreciate how you show what you're doing from different angles. Thank YOU! :D
Best explanation ever. Even though I’m an experienced knitter, I believe your wonderfully clear explanations could easily be followed by beginners. Well done!
A lot easier than I expected. I am using it to cast on your Soho vest top in garter stitch ❤
Ok, almost confused me with both, but I think I got it
I'm just about to start my Wool & Honey and this tutorial has been super helpful -thank you.
is there a link for continuing the pattern through the bodice?
Where's the next tutorial on how to shape the bodice?
Hello! I'm afraid that we do not have a tutorial on yoke shaping, since it can vary significantly depending on the construction of the pattern (e.g. raglan yoke, circular yoke, etc). But the way that the yoke is shaped in a bottom-up sweater is always through decrease stitches! You can find our tutorials on k2tog and ssk decreases below: www.purlsoho.com/create/knit-two-together-k2tog/ www.purlsoho.com/create/slip-slip-knit-ssk/ I hope these help, and as always, you're welcome to reach out to us directly if you have any specific questions by sending an email to [email protected]!
Very helpful, thank you!!!
Don’t know what I’m doing wrong but I have 74 sts on the needle but on the wrong side after I do the p6 wrap next st 2 timed P8 repay next st 2 times and at the end of the toe I have sts left over! What am I doing wrong 😢
Hello! I'm sorry to hear that you're running into trouble with the Jasmine Scarf pattern. It sounds like you may not be working the "p3" that occurs at the very end of the bracketed segment. After you work the p6, you should be repeating the following: p1 wrapping yarn twice, p8, p1 wrapping yarn twice, p3. Let me know if that might be the issue!
Thank you so very much I really appreciate your help ❤
Thank you for posting the video.
Hi, I am hoping you can help me, I have a throw rug I am knitting for my daughter for a special birthday and I really don't wnat to stuff it up! The pattern calls for a band of garter stitches to be added to all four sides and for the life I me I can't work out how to pick up the stitches needed evenly along the edge. There are 301 rows and I need to pick up 260 stitches! The calculator tells me I need to pick up every 1.15 stitches huh? What ratio do you think I should use? Thanks and hoping you can help me! 🤔😁
Hello! To achieve that ratio, you'll want to alternate picking up 6 stitches for every 7 stitches and picking up 7 stitches for every 8 stitches. That'll even out to approximately 260 stitches along the edge with 301 rows!
You make it so easy ! Why is it so hard for me ?
I'm so sorry to hear that you're having trouble with this technique! We're happy to help more over Zoom, if you're interested. You can sign up for a 1-On-1 Help session here: www.purlsoho.com/1-on-1-help.html
What brand circular knitting needles are you using?
Has any one done a step by step tutorial for this pattern?
Hello! We haven't made a full tutorial for this pattern, but we have tutorials on most of the special techniques used in the pattern here: www.purlsoho.com/create/knit/tutorials/. We're also always happy to help if any questions come up along the way! Just send us an email directly at [email protected]
Hello Ladies I really enjoyed watching this podcast
A brilliant tutorial, thank you. I managed my first attempt at 'wrap and turn' short rows with no problems thanks to your clear and thorough explanations.
Thank you so much for this wonderful explanation. You’re directions are so clear and helpful, you made my day!!!!!!
Yg
As a continental knitter, this looks so darn awkward, I can't even wrap my head around it. Please include 'continental version'.

Oh, prism blanket! I thought that was too pretty for prison.
Excellent presentation, very clear!!! 😊😊😊 I agree, didn’t realize the knit/pearl wise stitch!
Can double knitting, be done with standard needles, rather than double pointed needles?
Hello! You will need to use either DPNs or circular needles for double knitting, since the technique requires you to slide your work on some rows. You can learn more about turning vs sliding right here: www.purlsoho.com/create/turn-slide. Hope this helps!
I’ve learned tubular cast on using two yarns but will try this method as it looks easier, thank you !
excellent! thank you
Thank you for explaining this technique so well, I've finally grasped it!!!
Thank you for your excellent demonstration and explanation of German short rows and how to adapt a Wrap and Turn pattern. It took a few attempts but I now understand and can complete my jumper. Yay!🤗🥰
Yes and then i will trash what I did? all the yarn i used? ok thank you
Hello! You definitely don't need to throw away the yarn used in this cast-on. The scrap yarn will be super useful to keep on hand for other crafting purposes such as putting stitches on hold, or if you ever need to work a provisional cast-on again!
@@PurlSoho what I meant was I wanted to know how should I continue knitting, was ver confusing to cut the yarn
@@gh60956 Thank you for clarifying! Yes, you will cut the scrap yarn you used to create the provisional cast-on. Then, you will start knitting with the actual yarn you are using for your project.
@@PurlSoho oh many thanks for this ! ❤❤❤❤
I'm a little confused: for the LLI you say to pick up a stitch two rows below, but it looks like you pick up a stitch one row below. I am knitting the Cloudburst mitts and I need to know how to do this increase. Thanks
Hello! It's a bit difficult to see based on how the working yarn is being pulled, but you do pick up a stitch two rows below!
@@PurlSoho thank you
Is the front side out or the backside?

I’ve been searching endlessly for help to see if there are any variations of the Italian bind off for knit 1, purl 2 ribbing? Have you ever heard of anything for this? Or would you be able to direct me somewhere where I could find instructions for it? Thanks so much!
Hello! I'm afraid that I don't know of a variation of this technique for 2 x 1 ribbing. Apologies for the inconvenience, but please let us know if you find anything in your search!
Just found you. Germany. Carmen Puhl
