I had one of the original 1973 Kawasaki,903s.. when they came out with the 1000 CC model. I was working as a motorcycle mechanic and a Kawasaki shop. There was an obvious difference in power. They went to smaller carburetors with a 1000. It carbureted. smoother than the 903, but it was definitely slower, but it had better manners.. Smaller carburetors, have higher intake, velocities, and make for a better Carburetion at low speeds

Hello my friend, I own a bike r1200rtp 2010 that was previously for the police, and now I ride it after it was out of service. All the police lights and sirens were removed. Can I use the previous operating switches on the handlebar to use them to operate the LED auxiliary lights? Thank you.

  • @alexandermccarthy

Indeed you can, but you'll need to use a relay to control the power and work with an auto electrician to plan, design and install the circuit properly.

Good on you for trying to rebuild the 79 KZ1000 MKII A3A. I worked at a Kawasaki dealership in the USA when those came out. The emergency flashers were factory even in the USA. Had a stronger crank and beefier case than other Kawasaki 1000s. If the wiring harness doesn't have wires for the flashers it's likely for a LTD model. Modified mine while still in the create. People wondered why it was so fast. Told them I don't know... It's exactly like it was when it got set up out of the create.
