Horses. 😍🐎 The modern flags look out of place. I'm no vexillologist but I'm pretty sure the Canadian flag is not medieval. Probably not the French flag either. (Google says the French flag is from 1794 and the Canadian flag from 1965).

Amazing event. The realism of the village was quite a lesson in history. Even more so the jousting. Great sport with international competitors. I had no idea that the "real" wooden lance jousting at the highest (and purest) form of the sport used such exquisite armor and that their number was about 20 participants total in the world. Thank you for this wonderful walking tour of Oradea's annual Medieval Festival.

Wonderful coverage of the parade and knighting of the jousters. I saw a few still photos posted over the weekend by my Oradea Facebook group in the square. Based on other FB activity, it seems a friend of mine living in Oradea took his kids on one of the days. I scanned the crowds, but did not see anyone I knew. At this high temp season, too bad it is not held in October. Amazed to hear announced events in French language and see the participants from Canada and countries in Europe. Great event. Thanks.

Thanx for the comment, you will like the video of the actual event. The warm weather is essential, since the participants live in medieval tents, set up in the moat of the fortress. You will see that next week.

Good to see & hear your walks fully back in action in Europe here in Spain again! Though I've visited Spain many times (while on military duty, mostly on its Atlantic & Med coasts), I've never seen these sights of Seville. Beautiful. Your equipment remains one of the very best of any such producer on social media. I heard the music (violin) and wrongly thought it was a piece from Zimmer's soundtrack for the movie "Gladiator." But alas it was not so even though the main character General Maximus was called "the Spaniard" in that movie. [BTW - It was from another epic screen story of the struggle between Scotland and England led by John Wallace -- James Horner's soundtrack for "Braveheart." Oh well.] Your sub-titles really make this a tour which inspires an in-person visit to this beautiful city. THANKS.

@@walkandcamera Glad to hear of your careful use of recorded materials - video & sound - well done, as always. I look forward to seeing the closeup in the cathedral. I had no idea Seville has the largest Gothic building ever built. Too bad you don't have an easy path to jointly brand a tour with someone like Rick Steves. Imagine having Rick help curate & speak in a city tour video which you record and he co-produces a dual release on his channel too. Keep up this great work.
