    Russel Westbrook, Petyon Watson, Julian Strawther, and Dario Saric make up a formidable bench.

    @@nicholassims1947 I know people like to shit on Zeke, but if he can somehow find his shots back I can see him being a positive contributor at backup PF which is the original position he was playing before being forced to play exclusively at center. A bench lineup of Russ, Julian, Peyton, Zeke, and Dario Saric is actually pretty balanced imo. You got shooting in Julian, Saric, and maybe Zeke/Peyton. You got playmaking in Russ and Saric. And Julian and Peyton can be a tertiary ball handler on the floor in spurts too. Lastly, you got defense from Russ, Peyton, and Zeke. Julian Strawther is also an underrated defender with his size and wingspan. The positional size here is important too. A bench height of 6'4, 6'7, 6'8, 6'10, and 6'10 is pretty solid.

    @@LLawliet-tv9ig Yea, asking him to play center was just a bit too much, just took away his niche. He's never gonna be able to handle the center position cos it's asking a bit too much at his size, but slide him back into PF and he starts to match back up with his size to keep us big. Maybe Cancar can help that center back up if he's healthy this year, that's what we really need. Excited about Saric and Russ though, that should help keep the Nuggets flow going while Joker's on the bench.

    The Nuggets are gonna be better this year. Malone saw all the flaws from last year and did all the right moves. The bench is way stronger, Nuggets are going all the way.

    Russ is a huge upgrade from Reggie and Saric adds more height big body etc who can shoot lights out spread the floor much like Kelly Olynik but only an average defender but Dario definitely is a solid rebiunder which will definitely help behind jokic and Gordon and Dario can do what Zeke Couldn't do last year

    His defense dropped off last season and will be even older next season cb played better defense in the playoffs then kcp

  • @nicholassims1947
    @nicholassims19472 күн бұрын

    Great defender, but KCP couldn't put pressure on tough guards like ANT, Luka or Jaylen Brown because he wasn't big enough or strong enough. Westbrook is a different story and it's not like KCP provided a lot of scoring on the offensive side either.

  • @LLawliet-tv9ig
    @LLawliet-tv9ig2 күн бұрын

    Depending on the matchups, but for the most parts I think CB is a better defender than KCP. Braun is better at guarding stronger, bigger, and more physical guards/forwards. While KCP is better at guarding quicker, craftier guards especially ones who rely on ball screens. It makes sense too because KCP is skinnier so he's better at navigating screens and chasing guys like Steph Curry around. But with players getting bigger and taller each year, you need CB to take on players like ANT, Luka, Kawhi, etc. A lot of the SGs in the league are pretty strong and they can just use their positional size to bully weaker guards out of the way. And let's get one thing clear. I don't think CB is bad at perimeter defense, he's just not as good as KCP at guarding the perimeter and navigating screens. But there's many forms of defense and overall CB is a more versatile defender than KCP. One thing people also fail to mention is how athleticism plays into defense. Braun is a really athletic guard and that helps him defend in ways that KCP simply could not with the Nuggets. Having more size and athleticism in the starting lineup is not a bad thing.

    @@LLawliet-tv9ig Bud, Denver has some scary stuff headed into this season! ANT, Jaylen Brown, Luka, and even Kawhi, all were too strong for KCP to cover. I think I'm liking Russ to take those guys on, along with Braun's excellent, hard work defense.... And then, you add Peyton in his 2nd year with those amazing blocks from a SMALL forward position.... Denver might end up being better than even their championship run.....

    To be honest, Russ have never been in a better team🤷 Oklahoma was young with unlimited talent with no experience.. Denver:1. won a title last year 2. Excellent chemistry 3. Jokić mvp, Dario Šarić plays the best basketball in career 4. Russ play around 20min, but he will be flying in thoose minutes, similar (but older😅) to the year when he won MVP Conclusion!! Dallas 🆚 Denver = finals => next champion 🖖

I’ve seen people do videos like this (rarely) but they do it as if the first read will work and that’s supppper unlikely after it works the first few times especially in the league, this was a dope watch imo. when I used to go to my sister’s games before I was old enough to play year round, I used to make plays on the coaches white board, it was crazy bc I could’ve been using horns and other stuff before ever knowing what that was 😂
