  The "military" presence is not actually for the turistas but because that's where the Panama's "white house" is located

  We saw that while we were there. They had that area mostly closed off. The police officers and military we spoke with were all very nice and tourism was important to Panama and making sure it was protected was a priority. In Casco Viejo they even have specific "tourism police"

  The beach is on the opposite coast from the resort, it's a public beach and it was beautiful. We rented a jeep and there a road that makes a loop around the end of the island. There are several places to stop at along with way, from beach clubs to this beach we went to. The mayan chocolate tour was also along this road.

  Hi What are your pros and cons about the hotel rooms and airport transportation? Also, is the night market walking distance and do the resort have night activities and shows?

  This property was very nice and well maintained. It's only two blocks from the main pedestrian only road with all the shops, restaurants and clubs. They do have a fair amount of activities at the property, however no large production shows like some properties have.

  We did as they were required at the time to fly into the US. Done at the resort and were $20 USD

  We selected Ocean View when booking. All of those rooms have a great view and the higher the floor the better.
