That red is B-E-A-UTIFUL 😍😍😍
Where did you end up securing the SAI? Just ordered this!!
Same website as the APR filter I think GOAPR.com or ESCTuning
@@NathanAdamsCars sorry, I meant what did you zip tie it to?
2:15 Video is backward. It's an LHD car, but the video shows an RHD.
It’s mirrored because of the front facing camera on my phone. I wasn’t able to mount it with the correct framing so I needed to use the front camera to see
Its not expensive to maintain this car unlike audi or bmw its good
Wheels size?
BS
Great review video!!
with a dirty windshield 🤣
The smudges, man. Fortunately it has since been replaced because of a crack.
whoa, mind blown
And the transmission itself is reliabe and cheap to buy unlike other brands out here
Will it fit a 2024?
Happy you're enjoying the air intake!! I've worked at APR for 2 years and sure happy to come into work everyday! I'm getting the GLI Autobahn for my next ride🫡
Now, how is the fuel consumption with that intake
Sounds good.
I have a 2021 Jetta SE 1.4 L, do you think this would fit?
I have the same GLI, even the same color, but mine is 2023, am I gonna have any trouble with the warranty if I install a K&N cold air intake kit? it hasn't its first oil change yet, greetings from Mexico.
Hello! I cannot speak on behalf of VW warranty administration, but I have had my car into the dealership for warranty claims as recently as 40k miles without issue. To be fair, none of my claims have had to do with anything directly related to the engine or intake. I have noticed low oil light comes on between oil changes and I have to add a quart of VW-approved oil. I cannot say whether that is attributed to the new intake. APR is a good brand for VW bolt-ons. I am not sure if a K&N intake would cause more scrutiny or not.
Does something like this add any horsepower? I have 2017 gli
No it doesn’t add power. It would help with a tune however which I have not done. I feel like there was better throttle responsiveness but not sure if that’s just my mind playing tricks on me because of the sound you can hear a lot better. With a tune, you can take advantage of the superior flow (apparently) but it already has forced induction with the turbo so idk. Bottom line, no appreciable difference with an intake alone.
super rad car! It beat both the Mk8 GTI and Mk8 Golf R a few years ago at Lightning Lap .. i believe the video is here on YT
Full video posted on my channel.
These cars all have manual transmissions; in the case of the Lexus, that’s with an upgrade to ‘fully adjustable manual transmission’
0:25 Ernaja and Ice0l8ed making excuses in case they lose.
Instead of 4 voices, there are only 3 because MiViPers (Orange BMW) has not allowed party chat to be shared. For that reason, there is some missing dialogue. N8 is me (Blue BMW) Ernaja is the Yellow/Black Lexus LC500 Ice0l8ed is the Red/White Lexus RC F
All aftermarket intakes cause nothing but problems down the road.
These cars use a MAP. The only issue an open intake can cause on these is heatsoak, which a good intercooler can solve.
That "Secondary air intake " is a drain for moisture out of the original airbox , that thing is doing nothing other than begging to get caught in your fan.
I thought of that and shortly after took it to my dad’s shop where it was safely secured out of the way permanently.
“…and I’ll tell you HUWHat”
I'd assume it didn't throw any codes? Not sure if there's are maf sensors or anything like that that connect to it.
No man sensor, only a map. It won't throw any weird codes.
That’s right no codes.
Got one. It's awesome
Please remove those ugly mud flaps 😐
Hot air intake
It’s cold in winter
@@NathanAdamsCarsI’m just messin with you lol… All though it really is the truth. I want to do this to my gli solely for the induction noises but I really don’t wanna increase my IATs
@@juvnchy I think unlike a generic “filter on a stick” APRs is good because it hooks up to the existing outside air inlets so it does get airflow and not solely engine compartment hot air. I do not have any way to verify this though. I’d think APR would have that info but idk if there are 3rd party tests
@@juvnchy It actually lowered mine and im on a stage one apr tune, it flows a bit better then stock and has a casing around the filter to mitigate the heat
@@NathanAdamsCars 😂 it's cold in winter.. lol.
is everything stock besides the intake?
Yes, power wise. I also have a short shifter
@@NathanAdamsCarsnah bruh i got fooled by the fake sound clip😭😭😭

Woah bro! Amazing intake review! Thanks for the recommendation. Ordered it!
Sounds niceeeee, bruh 🙌🏽
Thanks!
Nice, such a detailed video! It sounds good y’all did a good job installing that
Thanks!
Nice! Looks and sounds good.
Thanks!
I called the splash guards “Rally Art” but I meant Rally Armor. Links for all the parts discussed in the video are in the description. I do not have any exhaust modifications to the car; just the intake. I showed the sound from behind the car anyway because there is a throatier sound after the intake - but that’s really just the engine sounding louder. Still, you can hear a slight difference overall. The real sound differences are when accelerating under load and letting off the throttle; you can hear the the turbo and the intake sounds so much better now. Also, sport mode does pipe exhaust sound into the interior but I did not use that mode for most of the interior shots filmed here - so as to not distract from the natural sounds. After upgrading the intake, you will not hear a difference to the interior exhaust amplification because the microphone for that system is further back in the exhaust where the intake noises do not reach. You’ll only hear the intake at relatively low speeds while accelerating under load. At highway speed, it’s mostly washed out by wind noise and the lower load distributed by the longer gearing. Let me know what exhaust or other mods I should focus on next!
Damn you are handsome too
i have an 07 with SH super handling.. looks like a brick but handles around corners like no other.. it doesnt have an electric motor anywhere.. and it can tow 5000 lbs with ease.
Believe me enjoy your 16s I wish I could downgrade it's to harsh with 17s

I really wish Honda kept this awesome 8 speed transmission. This transmission would’ve been perfect for their Acura Integra Type-S.
These go for really good prices online (found a 2019 like this with the Black Label package). It was around 55k so they are a good deal right about now.
How's it driving that beast etc?!
Pure bullshit. I tried to use the compressor to inflate a low tire. I put it on only air. Guess what, it pumped sealant into the tire. Not sure if I've ruined the tire or not. Pure bullshit.
Damn, I’m sorry to hear that.
RIP headphone users @ 4:28!
Sounds like the camchain n tensioners are due
I had a friend that let me drive her passat after we got about a 9 inches of snow. You couldn't get that car stuck, I couldn't believe it.
Contemplating about purchasing this. I am worried about reliability.
