  I grew up on outer Magnolia Ave during the early 60's and 70's when Magnolia was small farms, and there was a family that ran a Dairy farm. Now, unfortunately a bunch of wealthy a**holes have moved out in our area, and built big homes, which has COMPLETELY ruined the area. And the same can be said for downtown...Nothing but a bunch of overpriced wine bars, boutique stores, and restaurants.

  @@DevilDogDen1775 we hear ya, the little farm town of Petaluma has changed so much. It’s the gentrification that happens with the evolution of each generation. We’d still say Petaluma is one of the best cities you’ll find though!

  @@Instkarma9765 good healthcare is very important! Sonoma County has a few main hospital and healthcare groups: Kaiser, Sutter, and Providence. These three are located in Santa Rosa primarily. Additionally there are many clinics and urgent care throughout the county as well.

  California Real estate agents making money by doing nothing and trying to live the high life with that money they make off of the owners/buyers. I think they made a TV show about it. If real estate isn’t a part time job for you, you’re as useful as a Californian politician. The women in this short is one of the most beautiful red heads I’ve ever seen. I’m sure she already knows it. Do not hate me. Of course I’m nobody and my opinion means nothing.

  I just moved here from Santa Rosa. This is an excellent and fairly accurate assessment. I use public transit and must concede that SR's bus system is much better than RP's. I actually really like the neighborhood feel. Overall I think it feels much safer than Santa Rosa. The homeless problem is much worse in SR than it is in RP. I did notice the amenities issue. As a plus, we have a scaled down Walmart that is essentially the size of Safeway with more economical prices. It is slso close to the larger Walmart. I'm still hoping to find a good church here in RP. Thanks for the video.

  Born and raised in Sebastopol. My great grandfather was a gravenstein apple farmer. The whole property was filled with gravenstein apples which he eventually sold to the city and they named the road after our family. All of the houses that my great grandfather built are still here on the same road and has been passed down to our family which I intend to continue that tradition. Unfortunately there aren’t many trees anymore but my plan is to re grow the same seed my grandfather planted and re start the apples so that someday I can pass down the property to my son. Thank you for the video! I have many old photos of the railroads when they used to run through main st. I love it here. I am blessed!

  Lived in Santa Rosa from 1969-78. Great town! Lived in South Park and then later near Coddingtown. Used to drive to Bodega Bay with my wife and our two dogs on hot summer afternoons. Hung out at Melendy's. Saw a few Oakland Raiders there. Ha, those were the days!
