Great video Boone
@@SlotCar2021 thanks 😊
I sure do miss seeing your work. I hope Hurricane Beryl didn’t cause too many problems for ya! We were without power for the better part of 4 days.
@@wjspade thanks buddy, I’m trying to get back on the video train again. Luckily we missed the weather from Beryl . Sorry to hear about your loss of power , that’s never fun and especially in the heat .
@@BoonesSlotCarGarage It was just like camping! Haha I have friends up in Houston who didn’t get power back until late Sunday night. One had a tree fall through his roof and I to his kitchen. The rain water destroyed all the hardwood flooring in the kitchen/dining/living room area. The cabinets soaked up water from the floor and have all but fallen apart as well. I live out in the woods and will have cleanup work to do for the better part of a year because of Beryl. The entire forest is about 10 - 15 feet shorter now and all the treetops are on the ground. Lots of free firewood, though! 👍🏼 I’m glad that you and yours were spared from the brunt of the storm. I hope all is well with Deception, too!
Lol
The saga continues
😂 😂 😂
You could also use thin tent pegs for the main supports reckon.
Nice! Thanks for this video, just what I was looking for.
Thank you 😊
Great tutorial 👍🏼
Thank you
Come in boon , come in ,anyone there ? lol 😊, greetings from Portsmouth England 🏴
😂 😂 😂
Does anybody else watch/listen to these while working on their own track layouts? I just wish I could get as much done at once as Boone does!
Thanks buddy
This is great stuff!
Thank you
didn't know about the "loose pins"; great discovery!
Thanks 😊
Magnificent. I suggest yellow light, more vintage color. Cheers
Thanks 😊, yes a softer light would be better 😂
I had to move and needed to give away my 6 lane 18’ x 8’ AFX track with 6 long chutes back and forth . I used the widest turns . I found 18””turns , 15”’12” respectively. Banks had to use 9”, 12”, 12” tightened up as close as possible . The bridge I used the 1/8” plywood for the 4’ transition’s . Very fast track with no trees or anything to reduce visibility and painted 3/4” ply gray . Used stock AFX cars with 2 deep cell 360 cold cranking amps car batteries in series . The cars took the 24+ volts with no problem . Didn’t need to put racing armature s in them but “ OMG “when we did just playing around ( gotta play ) . Ran 3 classes of stock armature racing classes in the stock car ,F1 , sports cars . gearing and stock magnets were allowed .
Cool
nice Boone.
Thanks Chris
I have a question do you have a video showing the track itself I want to share your track with some friends but I can't find a quick video that shows the layout😊 the car that wrecked in the pond is probably my favorite part😊
Thanks 😊, I have two videos of the layout.
boring. i would like to see the cars racing!
Well gotta get this done before the cars can race 😂
This is some of my favorite content. That may be because my daughters and I are currently building a track ourselves.
Respekt aus Deutschland 😊
Thank you Peter
Did I hear "YYYYAAAAAGGGGEEEE!!!!!"?
😂 😂 😂
Those clip together billboards can be mounted on polystyrene plinths that are coloured as concrete base that could be weathered, and cracks etched in.
Yes they can , I just personally don’t care for the look of them . Plus if your scenery is not flat it makes it a bit difficult . But thanks buddy
Now that’s a wall of foam to work on🤣 great work
😂 thanks Jim
How great is this
Thanks Malcolm
Nice!
Thanks Bill
Wie immer super !
Thanks Peter
Looking good boone. So cool to see your channel i hope all is well - Sal from the big B
Thank you Sal
Aces 😊
Thanks Simon
This is so cool. I'm building a Brands Hatch track as we speak. I'm just getting started. So cool.
Thank you Michael, a Brands Hatch layout would be very cool
Awesome!
Thanks William
Amazing as usual Boone. Great job
Thank you Jay
Hot glue is hot 😅
😂 😂 yep 👍

Looks the goods!
😂 thanks Mate
Instead of 3in1 oil suggest using fish oil which prevents rust as it is usually sprayed in real vehicle sills
Interesting
Now you have a left and right saluting Esso guy.
😂
You could treat the vertical crack in wall as a repair where the mason removes and replaces the broken bricks.
That’s a good idea 👍, thanks buddy
Thank you for taking the time to do this. Although the video is 3yrs old, it is still an awesome reference on how to manipulate foam board. I'm just getting into the hobby so I'm soaking this up. Thanks! As a follow-up question, how could you do this technique for the backside of a banked turn.. I'm struggling to envision how to get the foam board to curve.
Thank you, 😊 if you want to create a brick wall for a corner you would need to cut reliefs to allow it to bend. Or you could make the wall in sections and then create the Brick work
@@BoonesSlotCarGarage thank you.
Nice work 👌
Thanks buddy
Hey Boone, cool work as always. That brick wall looks amazing. Again so many helpful Boone stuff for my track that i am building...! Greetings Carsten
😊 thank you
I love your work regards malcolm from Adelaide south Australia
Thank you Malcolm
i have this before, but you are an artist. When ever you put a video out I will watch it. May not be live , but I do watch. Good luck going back to work!. One more thing, your work area is as bad as mine.
😂 thanks Richard. Yes today I’m trying to straighten up a bit
Awesome
Thanks buddy
Looking good🤜
Thanks Jim
Great work Boone 👍👏
Thank you Brian
Looking can’t wait to see what the final results are!!!!
Thanks 😊
You can use a cookie cutter instead of the pipe.
Good idea 👍, just trying to find the right one might be a challenge
One awesome track.
Thank you 😊
Good stuff, looks COOL 😎 ! Greetings from Portsmouth England 🏴
Thank you 😊
You don't think about join this track connection row using glue and fill in with putty to get the effect of a smooth road with no visible connections?
That would work, but i prefer to have the ability to remove track if i need to. Gluing them together kinda defeats the purpose of that. But it would give it a nice look
Cant wait for this one
Great to hear that you’ve been cleared to go back to work 👏👍😄
Thank you Brian
Good job
Thanks 😊
I do like it a lot!
Thank you 😊
