    LED Bars are nit illegal items but fitting an LED bar to your vehicle is Illegal in SA, and you are not allowed to have a light fitted that crosses the midline of the vehicle. Not sure why there are so many people selling or advertising the fitting of lightbars for vehicles in SA when this is the case. Same goes for working lights on the side or the back of vehicles mounted to the roof-rack. Any feedback with regards to this?

    I would not recommend to buy a Moremi. Only had bad experience. Not waterproof, after sales a hazel & canvas replacement was made to the cheaper version, know Mosquito Net outside, the flappies outside. Logic is something else. It's a big shame! But the worst, the dishonesty of Jan Velter

    Can I run PA system?

  • @SA4x4online
    @SA4x4online6 ай бұрын

    look at the back of your PA system. How many Wats or Amps re needed for your PA to operate? You can click on the link and launch an enquiry with this promoter, and they can call you back to answer any questions you need via the telephone if suited. Here is the link to our review which may also help: www.sa4x4.co.za/rentechs-pps750-lithium-ion-portable-power-supply-launches-in-south-africa/

    It's 230 V - 50hz /150w can this run on this?

  • @SA4x4online
    @SA4x4online6 ай бұрын

    @@yiyolonto That's a tricky one. if your PA system is 150W then you would need a 1.5 Kwh ( kilo-what hour) battery source. We believe the Rentech is a 786 What Hour Capacity - which may not be sufficient to power your PA system. The best solution/Advice would be for you to reach out to the promoter directly for an in-depth chat. Simply click in this link and send the manufacturer a message - they will be able to respond to you directly www.sa4x4.co.za/rentechs-pps750-lithium-ion-portable-power-supply-launches-in-south-africa/ We hope that helps. if not, then you would need a more costly PPS.

    it is designed to use on the 4x4 track or route, and taken off when you are finished on the route, to prevent your vehicle from getting scratched. it is a cheaper and arguably a more effective protection product than auto amour. if someone is able to steal it while you are in your vehicle - we would be impressed ;) The magnets are custom made to each vehicle.

    As a wise man called Mungo once said: "if you want to cross a river, use a @&$©¥{∆£|®✓™ boat!" A team traveling from Morocco to Cape Town in brand new 70 Series TLC's, had to replace six differentials three months after their return. Oil seals on the axle ends are designed to keep oil in, not water out. Their stupid look-rough trucks had rather tiny, inadequate diff breathers. The factory didn't fit proper ones. Even ASPW had to spend a small fortune in installing proper breathers to his then brand new Troopy. Cannot the manufacturer use savvy and install proper components like on some Patrols and all Geländewagens?

  • @CaravanOutdoorLife

    This was a BMW, and the battery for BMW's are usually in the boot. it would have been extremely tough to show this video looking into the boot only. There are two contact points for jumping mounted in the engine bay for this vehicle. The battery has a scart plug attachment. Meaning you can only plug the clamp connectors into the device one way. this device is so easy to use, its almost idiot proof! almost 🤣🤣

  • @CaravanOutdoorLife
    @CaravanOutdoorLife8 ай бұрын

    @@MrFanntaz yes, you would clamp the crocodile clips from the Osram battery start, onto the battery clamps of the battery in your vehicle. which sits over your positive and negative battery terminals. just make sure there is good contact. The battery start does not recharge your battery, it provides enough charge to get your car started. Once started, normal engine compression should be enough to keep your engine running and to get you home. 👍👍

    How has the long term use been with the unit? Any sensor failures? I'm always skeptical of these units as they all seem to be clones of each other's Chinese brands and they all seem to share common failure points - either the sensor(s) stops working with no individual replacement options, or they're wildly differing in accuracy between sensors. The pricing of this specific brand is 3-4x that of the typical Chinese units, so I'm wondering what makes this unit different?

  • @SA4x4online
    @SA4x4online10 ай бұрын

    No problems from our side. Ours is still working fantastically well. and yes, there are many versions of this product on the internet these days. Some are cheaper than others. which is indicative of some knock off units entering in the market. we have seen that some range from R 900 - R 2999. We also do or best to ensure that the unit is properly cared for, by not leaving the main unit permanently in the sun or in the vehicle when temperatures soar above 40 degree Kruger heat. Most electronics don't respond well to extended periods of heat or water precipitation from frosty mornings. if you look after the device, it will look after you :) this is still a great piece of kit!

    So that was the Cape Town Showroom in Montague Gardens. One thing to be aware of with Snowmaster is the dimms of the units are all over the place - meaning that there are conflicting dimms listed on different web sites so if you are putting a fridge in a tight space so you need to go physically measure the fridge.

  • @SA4x4online
    @SA4x4online10 ай бұрын

    YES! that's the one! Ah! the Dims (as in Dimensions) yes, they do vary across their range - so you must be very specific when enquiring about their expedition series ( usually with a slim line lid) or leisure series fridge freezers (usually bigger lids), as they may differ, depending on the model code ofcourse. And yes! we agree, visiting in store is always best shopping practice. As some older models quickly get replaced by newer improved ones. You know its a great day when you grab your tape measure and head out to buy more cool overlanding gear! 🤣🤣🤣 Thats how we roll! 😉
