At the end of the day, the definitions and details of werewolves depend on the community and the setting. I got used to the various lists of werewolf cliches catering to the principles of drama/angst/tragedy/horror, so I decided to create my own solo roleplaying setting for my stories and my imagination. The werewolves of my setting aren't what they are because of a curse or a disease or godly wrath, they are simply a community of magical beings who cultivated the ability to shape one's form for practical/personal reasons, often sharing that knowledge to those who see it... if the wolf deems them to be honest and worthy of that knowledge.

If warewolfs are not real in Britain or the history of them, then explain why they create TV shows like: Wolfblood 2012 ‧ Drama ‧ 2 seasons total??? How about movies?? Like UNDERWORLD???

Werewolves but other animals is a pretty obvious derivative approach. Once you have a world that includes werewolves there isn't really any reason why it would be restricted to canines so it is a fairly easy way to expand your world's menagerie of the strange. Likewise, don't really see why just because they are the originals they would logically be the most powerful. First and best are not inherently linked. Once you bring other animals into the mix of potential transformation targets you also bring other aspects, one of the popular ones for werewolves seems to be that they run in packs. Is this linked in any way to folklore?

Yeah, that being the most popular aspect has always gotten them dumbed down in games, too. Wolves get reduced to being pack animals as their only trait, whereas other animals get to play to their individual strengths, because of society's inaccurate concept that a lone wolf is ineffective. Other animals will get attribute bonuses, wolves just get bonuses around other wolves. In folklore, werewolves are always standalone and not linked to pack dynamics (or special abilities like "werewolves get attack bonuses around other werewolves!" whereas werebears get to "be strong all the time no matter if alone or in a group of other werebears or other creatures"). I never said "logically," though, or that first and best are related. :P Like I said, I have a personal bias and I know it. I'm just saying I don't like the other ones or expanding them in that way, since I was asked my opinion on it. Other creatures can be other things. Let werewolves be werewolves. That's my take on it. (And I don't like the other canines, either; I like werewolves. I've always been this way. Other people can have the menagerie and play the game of "what werecreature are they turning into?" though, that's cool. XD)

the fal is nerfed though. Essentially What the FAL was, the GMAL now is. It's absurd. It's like we're playing Marvel vs. Capcom 3 over here.

IMO, the G-MAL isn't the root of the problem. Yeah, it's OP in the right hands, but the M9 with RoF is just as bad - if not worse. And I've met plenty of campers who use plenty of weapons, the T-bolt being chief among them.

Gmal is ruining the game. The fal was op, but I honestly thing that now the gmal is far more annoying. Not as hard to adjust and kill as the fal was. Sad because i really want to keep playing but people just camp with the gmal so hard now (in a free runner type game camping shouldn't be a problem but the gun changes that)

Depends on who's using it, trust me. The FAL is a death machine for those who know how to trigger-lock it, and the G-MAL is awful in the wrong hands.
