Bow down to the heroes. Against catastrophe, against propaganda, against time - heroes.
it pains me these men had to do all this and even in present times... ruthlessly being killed by drones.
Thank you so much for uploading this piece of history. This is something everyone around the world should watch.
What i have realised for many years is that Russians can be the most reckless at approaching or handling volatile equipment and later live to regret it but keep on repeating it!
"I cannot see radiation i cannot smell radiation i cannot taste radiation but it can still hurt me?!?!" quote from TMI guy (you can taste radiation though)
amazing video 😮
I complain about having to install a fan in my bedroom.
The cameraman never dies. ❤
This is still the greatest Chernobyl video on KZread. This video deserves 10x the views that it has.
I can't help but salute these heroes throughout the video. They earned their titles and medals.
how its posible that german then robots and weapons today doesnt work?
What i don't understand is why didn't they have bigger shovels lol
Now this was an interesting, educational film.
John 15:3 "Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends."
That was stupid let people there for cleaning a roof. For what.
To remove the radioactive graphite that was dropped to contain the radiation after the explosion and eventually cover the exposed reactor to prevent further explosions and damage... is that still stupid to you?

It’s interesting to view a real depiction of people in the USSR, free from propaganda on either side. I mean propaganda on both sides depicts Americans and westerners as a whole as self interested and selfish, and we depict the Soviets throughout years of propaganda as mindless automataons driven by fear and intimidation to follow orders by leaders far away. But this really shows the nuances of reality. The leaders are up there with them. You can literally see an officer on the roof. They stayed with their liquidators generally as long as they stayed. Longer than the average one too, since they stayed the whole time. People didn’t do this out of fear or intimidation. They stayed past when they needed to often out of a sense of duty to others around them. It’s the reality of the world I think, that people are far better then people often give them credit for. Anywhere in the world really.
Truly beautiful to see men standing on being great men.
☢️~~~~~~~~~~~🛐 MKULTRA
These clueless people standing so close with no protective equipment. Probably got radiation poising.
It always blows my mind that this was in the 80s because it looks about 30 years older
No matter how educated i am at chemistry or physics, nothing is gonna stop me from helping my country. Those are realistic hero’s, reality is harsh🤕
Hey brave heroes you dropped this 👑
MIN 5:01. 😂
Imagine gen z facing this now!
They surely would have better protective gear but the low IQ and generally speaking low survival instinct and not muscular bodies (fat) are all factors that would render most useless
Who is interested, these frames are taken from another movie Chernobyl two colors of time movie in 3 parts kzread.info/dash/bejne/dal_rdKymdeuZdY.htmlsi=Zkw4xMjZMWhUP1EP
thank you for trying to minimise the effects for the world. a noble task, an honour also, such a sacrifice. bless you all x
There should be a monument with the 3828 names on it.
Does anyone know if the guy that told the story or the camera man are still alive ??????????????????????????????
At 24:09 was like telling the soldiers here is 800 rubles that is what your life is worth.
❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏
and this is why ussr sucks, cheap over safety etc
24:23 "AWARDED 800 RUBLES" THATS LIKE EIGHT DOLLARS IN TODAYS MONEY JUST SO YOU CAN DIE 30 YEARS BEFORE YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO. SWEET DEAL!
Dude compares today's money with money back then, very smart
And all of them died for that shit hell no
There was no choice, either they isolated the reactor or Europe would've gone 💥☢️
Nuclear power plants ant nothing but death to the world and the people still keep on having these building
Nuclear power plants today are safe, safer than burning things and way more powerful than wind turbines or solar panels
There ant no way in hell I would put my life on the line for stupidity of the owner of this stuff
This is not science fiction. You can watch here the *actual*, *real* scenes of one of the most dangerous enterprises in human history. Walking among radioactive debris that can kill you if you stay there just one minute longer, and that probably will kill you anyway in the following years due to cancer. And they knew that, they could *measure* that with their instruments. They knew that, however they did it. Since it had to be done. I am a nuclear engineer and I teach radiation protection in an Italian University. I bow my head to those men, they are heroes. However, I personally hope that no one else in the future will have to do what they had to do: human society needs responsible leaders that manage technology in such a way that heroes are not needed. Respect. Great respect to those good men there: my heart goes with them and their families. Grande, grande coraggio ed efficacia, vi abbraccio tutti, ovunque voi siate ora. ❤
it is obviously that their hands and face, part of their necks are not covered ., you seen them talking without a mask, i cannot imagine breathing that in between.
I don't think there is much difference taking into account that they were close to zone 0.
You will never be forgotten. Thank you to the brave heroes!!!
"I serve the Soviet Union" - only mentally ill would say something like that
You've just said that
i serve your m****
Hey Tino great narration mate , love your work on WW2 mate

Can I use it in my own video by adding a link to the description?
