thanks, Sharyn.
I did a small old phone table with this color and it turned out beautiful. I use it as a charging station for multi devices. The only problem was the one spot with dog hair that dried in the paint but you have to look hard to find it lol

Will this glaze technique work on a white resin picture frame.
Are you painting it first with Fusion mineral paint? Or just painting the glaze on the resin? If just the glaze, it will behave differently to my example, so test it out first to make sure it adheres to the surface. Can you test on back part of frame or is the surface different?
@@irestorestuff yes, I could test on back of frame. Thanks!
Thank you in 2024 from San Antonio, Texas.

shoud i use polyvine or fso for a table top , i from belgium hi :-)
I have not had experience with “polyvine” but I do know that SFO is great for staining and sealing raw wood.
thank you for this informative video! great job. I understand that this technique works well with the types of furniture that have frames etc. where the glaze stays after wiping, but what if I need to glase a simple painted stool that doesn't have those? Its very basic stool, just legs and the top, and I wonder what stays and where when I cover it with the glaze and wipe afterwards. I painted it in nice yellow, but wanted to add some used antique look with dark edges and some dark patina around the joints. But the issue is that using your technique the glase at the edges, where I do want it to stay, will most probaly get wiped off. What do you think I shall do to make it look like a want? And would the whole thing work if I use watered down dark acrylic paint over the main layer of paint, also acrylic? thank you!
The glaze would show as a grain type effect like the top of this table which is all flat (see the link to blog post with more pics in description above). You may like to try an antiquing or ageing wax instead. Fusion has some lovely ones here: 👉🏻 use code IRESTORESTUFF & save here: shop.fusionmineralpaint.com/sharon With decorative waxes like their ageing wax or black wax, you can manipulate the wax a little more to move it to the edges or corners. Practice on a sample board first for best results.
@@irestorestuff Thank you very much!
Never stenciled.
Thanks for sharing. If you decide to give it a try, I have loads of videos on my channel here showing you how. :)

Replay ...I am in Australia too. 🥰
Hi! Thanks for watching.
Very nice!
Thanks. its a lovely set
A lot of impatient Americans here. lol I guess they don't get the Aussie idea of laid back.
Haha. Either that or they don't read the description or understand the concept of a live replay, and that when you are live, there's no "cut and paste" editing to make things go quicker. Oh well, any comment is good for engagement, I believe. ;)
What if you have non transparent stencils?? How do you evenly space ?
I’ve never use any that weren’t transparent but I guess I’d maybe use a pencil to mark where the letter is & measure out even spacing between each 🤷🏼♀️

@02:15 you switch from steel wool to a cloth, I am wondering if it was dry or if you soaked it in Methyl first?
Yes I have Metho on the cloth.
I'm in Tasmania come from i restrore stuff .
Thanks for watching! Yay. I hope you’ll subscribe and or follow my blog posts via my website irestorestuff.com
Thank you, your fine steelwool and methyl method saved the day for me. I just finish my new first coat (both lifetime and first of 2 or 3 on that particular piece) and had spots that looked like drops or "small puddle" of shellac that remained tacky a full day after apply. Before watching your video, I tried methyl and rubbing with cloth to no avail. I guess the steelwool does the physical work and the liquid handle the chemical aspect. Thanks again !😀
That's great. Glad you found it helpful. Depending what country you're in, Methylated Spirits can be called something else than it does here in Australia. I do a Metho test on my piece to determine if it is actually shellac finish - after applying a bit with a cloth, it should become tacky within a couple mins.
@@irestorestuff In Canada, its called Methyl Hydrate, readily available and not expensive. Not only does it dissolve runs when applied with steel wool, but it leaves a glass smooth finish. Thanks again ! 💙
What goes into decision to paint the top of the shelf unit inside??
I always paint the top of shelf inside.
You're using such a tiny brush.
For the painting I'm using one of my favourite short handle brushes from Cling on - the S30. (irestorestuff.com/product-category/brushes/cling-on-paint-brushes/cling-on-brushes-short-handle/) It fits under shelves like this so the handle doesn't bang on the top shelf while painting inside shelves. For stenciling I'm using an Essential Stencil brush. bit.ly/41Gvfnz
Pineapple stencils on side
that would be a fun idea too.
Your instructions show the screen in landscape mode before you make changes. Didn't help me much.
if you tap the tool icon in portrait mode, you can also flip the screen in the same way you can in landscape mode.
Hi Dear, I am a Digital Marketer & youtube SEO Expert. I hope you are well. I have seen the videos on your channel. Your video is excellent but your video optimization is very poor. 1. SEO Score is meager 2.Title - Description(need optimizing)Tag SEO friendly 3. No Share Social Media Platform and many problems on your KZread Channel. Immediately need SEO for your KZread channel. Why are my videos not showing up on top? No matter how great your video is, you will get NO views if you have not done the proper SEO & keyword research for your title, description, tags, and more. I will do your organic KZread video SEO based on the provided keyword with complete competitive research. I am waiting for your response.Thank you
I was watching videos on KZread when I saw your channel. I really like your video content. But as a KZread expert, I noticed one thing: your video views are getting fewer and fewer. Later I researched your channel and I saw your video SEO score is (44.2 out of 100). Your video found that SEO optimization is not done in your videos due to which your videos are not going to your targeted people, your videos are getting fewer views and channel subscribers are getting less. I can say as a KZread expert if you can do channel and video SEO-friendly things like tag, hashtag, description, and keyword research then your KZread channel and video will grow fast. I think your KZread channel will make your dream come true.

What size stencils are the number ones?
Approx 6” square
I’m new
Thanks so much for watching. In the description here on KZread, I mention that this is a replay of a live I did for Essential Stencil on their FB page today. Such a fun couple of projects.
Is there any reason you did not prime the piece prior to painting? Also may I ask where you get all your drawer pulls from? Thank you so much in advance, lovely video
I don’t usually use a primer when using furniture paint like Fusion paint. If I was using a light or white colour, and I think there’s a possibility of pine knots bleeding through, I’d prime. But in this example there was no risk of that as I only scuff sanded the existing varnish, so it still served as protection over any knots. Another reason I’d prime might be if the varnish was super slick - in that case I use Fusion’s clear Ultra Grip. I get my drawer handles anywhere from eBay to our local hardware store. 😊
Good wprk! What type of paint or spray to use? Can i reseal it with varnish afterwards?
I used Fusion Mineral Paint in colour Raw Silk for this one. Yes you can seal with a tough coat poly.
Thank you!
You’re so welcome.
Hi could I use the Fusion gel stain formula since I already have it on hand to do this antique technique to the crevices? Thank you
Fusion's Gel Stain is a completely different product with different purpose, feel and texture. It is thicker, and it is oil based, so will have a different application. But if you have it on hand and want to try it on a piece of scrap wood, you could. It just won't have the same ease of application as a "glaze", for all the reasons I've stated. Hope this helps.
