Tennessee is loaded with poisonous snakes. My uncle, when he was 21, died from a cotton mouth snake. Some frineds of ours, decades later, opened their door to go out...there was a huge poisonous copperhead right in front of them ready to strike.

We're going to get more crime and over crowding if Calis keep moving here. Go somewhere else. We control our population growth here...no breeding babies for welfare, like in Cali.

Ohio finally codified homeschooling into law last year, and it was a huge win for homeschoolers. It is no longer subject to any board of education or government officials. We only have to notify and no longer have a required number of school hours nor do we have to supply the superintendent with a description of our curriculum and other activities for the school year. The biggest change for us is testing and assessments are no longer required. So yeah, Ohio is a much easier and less intimidating state to homeschool now

Tennessee is no longer affordable thanks to the blue state refugees flooding the area. Home prices have TRIPLED in the last 10 years. People coming here from Commiefornia still THINK it's affordable because the blue state they're running from is SO ruined by liberals, anything else looks better. But those of us who grew up here can see the destruction that's taken place and it makes us sad. If the blue state refugees vote conservative then everything will work out. Unfortunately that's probably not gonna happen. The blue staters will instead vote democrat and it's just a matter of time until freedom loving states have rainbow colors for their crosswalks.

i'm originally from pennsylvania and have been living in tennessee for a little over 4 years. i have been all up and down the eastern united states. yes, the drivers in tennessee are bad, but the worst drivers i have encountered are in new jersey and ohio. i also saw some really bad drivers in boston, ma, but the massachusetts in general isn't bad.

Thanks for this video! Do u still use Dimensions Math...I see this video was from 2 years ago. Also, looking into the program it looks like there are a lot of practice problems that go with each lesson. R u supposed to do all of those problems plus the challenge problems with each lesson or are there some given for extra practice if needed? We ve been doing it all but it s making math time go pretty long. Thanks!

What is this narrative I keep seeing about leaving your Cali-ness at the boarder lol what does that even mean. I need a list of traits that I have to suppress before coming. I’ve never heard anyone in Cali saying to anyone else you can be yourself before coming here. Help me understand?

I homeschooled 2 children for 12 years, back in the 1990's. I would not accept funds, because then they can tell you what to teach and what not to teach.

Govt never gives you anything for free. This can result in home visits, mandatory testing, background checks on all household members, outlawing gun ownership in the household for the law abiding citizens, even if school shootings happen on school premises. See the recent bill introduced in Missouri, politicians wanted to outlaw legal gun ownership for homeschooling families, and Missouri is a conservative state. I am not getting into politics, but I will not be left without protection for my children if if a criminal breaks into my house and wants to harm my family. Please educate yourself before giving the wrong advice. This can slowly lead to imposing so many regulations on homeschoolers that families will be forced to enroll the kids back in the public schools. Please read folks and educate yourself first.

Please stop telling people to accept money from the government as a homeschooling family that comes with strings attached and changes that can result in outlawing homeschooling. HSLDA clearly advises against it.

That store just reminds me that so much of what is produced in this world ends up in the landfill. I still shop at target and all. But it makes me sad about the overproduction of cheap items that we don’t really need and that they can’t even sell. Pretty wild to think about!! I would definitely be shopping the bins too though.

Born and raised in AZ and I homeschool 3 kids elementary age and I got about $2K for each kid per semester when I lived there. I live in Idaho now and leaving that money for school supplies, curriculums, extracurricular activities and even indoor/outdoor activities (I.e. trampoline, mud kitchen, P.E. supplies) was difficult to say the least lol. Idaho has something similar but requires testing and a teacher to follow up with weekly which makes it not even worth it. It’s also not anywhere close to the same amount of money.
