  • @ryanferris7841

    Them blue wheels I have are terrible lol awkward to operate plus they get in the way off the outboard I have a nasty mark on my outboard because of them, however I am getting use to them now! The beech master wheels do t work on a t38 because they don’t have enough clearance, which is unfortunate because they are great.

    Hello! It all depends the 9.9 is perfect for no more than 2 adults when you start adding weight the 9.9 won’t cut the mustard! If I was you I would purchase the tohatsu 20hp and your done!! it’s the lightest in the market and is a cracking engine it has a different operation set up compared to the tohatsu 9.8!! my first outboard was an old Honda 9.9 that I absolutely loved however Honda engines are heavy and awkward.

    You need minimum 1hp for every 90lbs (or 40kg) weight. That's the minimum, I recommend you get more than that. Honwave t38 + 9.8hp + 3gallon tank + anchor, bags = 300lbs (or 130kg) 90lbs x 9.8hp=900lbs In theory , you can carry up to 600lbs passengers and stuff. That makes 3 adults maximum... On a choppy day, 2 adults maximum.

    You didn’t change the pitch much. 11 1/4” pitch means for every full revolution your prop travels 11 1/4” through the water. You jumped up to a 12 pitch, that’s not much different. I would try jumping up to a 13 pitch.

    Hello which one do you recommend the t40 or the t38. I seen on comments of a different video you said you thought the t40 was superior. Then i seen on same video 3 weeks ago that you like the t38 better and have the t40 up for sale? Also is it very hard to stand in the t38? Thanks

  • @ryanferris7841
    @ryanferris784128 күн бұрын

    Hi, thanks for your comment, the t40 is the more superior boat but only slightly!! Cons - weight and its sheer size noise from the floor and in my opinion requires a trailer hard to manage alone hard to get small stones and shells that gather under the floor!! Pros- floor space stability and a flat safe surface for standing on After using the t38 more i actually prefer it and I can stand up in it no problem it’s so easy to manage and overall a more versatile sib faster too and handles better it’s sporty feeling I have now sold my t40 so I now would recommend the t38

    The ply floor is great you will always get bulge however you don’t feel it under foot ! Performance of the sib was no different with the floor installed vs no floor, I ditched the idea in the end I’m Happy with the t38 as stock! Ive come to realise its a very good sib and serves a purpose at a price point, and for ultimate performance you need a proper rib however that comes at a much higher price point and a lot more maintenance.
