Before all this green industry stuff I was a manager for one of Americas largest pharmaceutical distributors. At the old age of 35 I went back to college and earned my degree. I now hold a bachelor degree in Turf management with an emphasis in Landscape Design from the University of Arkansas. For more than 10 yrs I have been pouring love, sweat, and tears into this industry known to us, who work in it, as the Green Industry...join me on my ride!

Yeah, I have the same problem. I don’t know how to work on them. Just use them. Mind backfiring won’t start now.
Who do you contact for drainage sleeving? A builder? How much?
gods my guide
mine did this too
In one of your other videos you said you only need 1% slope for every 10 ft which was 1/4 inch and you used a leveler….in this video now u said 1% for every 10ft is 1 in. Im in flat land which one do you recommend for 100 ft if perforated pvc pipe?
I didn't get to see it collect any grass. It must not work very well.
Since the airfilter was so full, it was running a little more rich and i bet some unburnt fuel went out with the exhaust and caught fire in the hot muffler
Thank you
Never use corrugated garbage. Total waste of money😂😂😂😂
Pvc primer / cement
Doesn’t it back fire because your spark plugs aren’t gapped right?
Why do you need to seal the connector if the pipe is perforated?
I've got a cub cadet lawn tractor that pops real loud out the exhaust when you shut it down. Done it for years. So used to it I always put my fingers in my ears when I do. (Inside the shed it's insanely loud.) I've never had visible flames
I have no idea what the problem is? You show it during heavy rain, how long after the rain stops does the water go away? Does it sit in that swale? It seems to me the water running along the back of the yard is doing great, running away from the house to the drain. Erosion? How? The water is running over grass, that's great! You don't show the roof or where the roof water goes. I barely saw 1 downspout dumping on to a patio, how is the patio pitched? You might need solid pipes to get roof water away from the house to that drain basin. Where does the water go that was caught by the basin? Did you get the job? Please provide a link.
Makes good sense
Great video but would it be better to just use pbc all the way to prevent it from getting clogged and assure a secure trench? Thanks in advance
Yupp your right my neighbor did it with a permit our street has not much of a slope My driveway floods were getting a negative slope plus he uses to wash his dogs urine from kettle first hosed into my yard now sits in my driveway..
Thanks B&B! Can we use 4"solid corregated pipe if sufficient slope? We're in Florida so sand everywhere and tree roots too.
I know all about small engines back fire timing
I'm confused as to what I should put in the trench with the pipe. Should I place rocks, fabric wrap, I mean it's not perforated so will weeds still get in there? I have 3 down spouts and I plan to put 3 basins. Two 9 inch basins on two of the downspouts and a 6 in basin along the path to the discharge/emitter.
I am planning to use PVC pipe as a french drain for gutter downspouts on a single wide mobile home. I must shoot the water outlet underneath the trailer due to the septic being in the front yard and a tight lot. I also planned to dig a pit, fill it with gravel for the catch basin? Will this work????
You connect a 6 inch pipe to the catchbasin without knocking out the three inch(!) limitation?? See kzread.info/dash/bejne/mqWLlptyZpzOnag.html
This is terrible pipeline video ..pipeline for dummies the hard way lol 😂
I've paid my son this way, and this year I hired a helper for the whole lawn season through a temp, I've never hired employees, because this seems like a good deal covering payroll taxes, social security and workman's comp. and no bookkeeping. The cost also works on my Schedule C expenses. I also send who I want to work for me to the temp co. for hiring. So, no surprises. I sought this video out to see how much I'm winning or losing using the temp co but really couldn't tell. The statements on the pro side are why I chose this way, and I haven't really run into any of the cons. I still just wonder about costs or savings going with the temp co. Thanks for posting the video.
Just purchased a 2022 S600Z with the Kawasaki FD691V (great engine) & the 52” new style deck, they have made quite a few improvements over the years but the mower now cost $8,300 we like ours. We had a John Deere with a Brigs engine had lots of surging issues wouldn’t touch a Brigs engine again and Brigs owns Ferris now, even Brigs knows customers don’t want their engines.
I recently buried my gutters underground with piping going to the drainage ditch in front of my house. I don’t get the part about the catch basin, where I should have put it and what it would do differently since the same water would then go towards the same ditch?
Is that dirt he’s chopping at or concrete?😅
Well now e know who not to hire . after watching him use a T instead of a long sweep and use screws that will catch debris , i stopped watching . yikes !
For real
What about winter when water freezes on walk way...
thank you!
One of the biggest hack jobs. You should not be working on anyone's home. Your a total hack.
I would recommend getting rid of the stones at 9:50 and fill with dirt. Also, cut slots in the black edging so water doesn't pool so close to the house.
Great advice. Corrugated drains have their place, but not as downspout drains, or under patios
NDS recommends a minimal 6" stones base under the catch basin.
Regarding not tying downspouts into a French drain: Would T-ing into the middle of a linear French drain ***with a pop-up emitter on either end*** to handle heavy rain events' surplus be reasonable? Said French drain run would be 15-20 feet from my house. This is on a flat city lot. Thanks much, great tips!
Sanitary tees should never be used horizontally it's prohibited. Combination wye or long sweep is the correct fitting. It's highly likely to clog at the fitting in that configuration.
Do you recommend gutter sheilds
Thanks. Some people sweared only by corrugated pipes only and it get confusing.
What if the backyard is lower than the street level?
Yes!! We are having issues with people not like paying for proper systems so they end up choosing the "cheaper" option
Never use courigated pipe only SCH40.
How does a property owner allow a tenant to trash his place without addressing it. The sheer amount of trash in the yard seems like it would take years to accumulate. If it were I, if I began to witness this, I'd give the tennants two months to clean it up (once discovered) and if there is no progress on their part- buh-bye.
Speaking without showing is not teaching
I like the idea using a catch basin but it seems hard to disassemble to clean out? I was leaning towards 4” nds corrugated pvc do to supply shortage pvc solid very expensive.
Dont follow this
@@rdaws73 I went with a solid 4” PVC thin wall. 200 ft (3) downspouts & wyes with clean outs. Also tied in a 12” catch basin out to daylight. The system works perfectly. Dug down 15” with mega 6” wide ditch witch.
Mucho título, mucho bla bla y ninguna solución real.
Got a french drain installed a couple months ago, and they only use PVC pipe. I have three catch basins, also.
Hi, good video, thanks. We asked a builder to install and connect french drains throughout our garden. He did that. We got flooded afterwards repeatedly (this is Scotland) and so I dug up part of what he supposedly connected but guess what? He left one entire length of French drain pipe buried in about 30mm deep soil, totally unconnected to anything at both sides. I asked him to connect it hence tie it in with the other french drains (the end pipe of one of the other french pipes (there are 5 of them) further along the way ties into our house downpipe rainwater drain). Rather than him tie in his 30mm deep useless piece of shallow open-ended French drain, he told me to buy roof gutters and down-pipes for my log cabin / garden shed and he would tie in the bottom of the down-pipes to the long piece of French drain that is open at either end. He said he would ties both new downpipes into those two open ends. The french drainage is the type that has slits all around it. Is this right or has he done a total number on me? Thanks. Love from Scotland, X.
Difficulty finding sump pump with 25ft cord Anyone know why it’s difficult finding a vertical switch cast iron sump pump with 25ft cord? They all have only 10 feet or less. Home Depot, Lowe’s, Amazon... Due to the shortage?
That makes sense. Using PVC in that job vs corrugated.
Why silicone..? It’s not a waterproof application…
