  I’m a natural 5/8 195 lbs landscaper and helped my brother do mechanic work for some years. I do fat grip slow pull ups And Sasquatch pronation lift for my training. I’m 3 times stronger than anyone my size. Should I go for people more in 250 lbs Range?

  You will not make it at high levels of the sport with small hands ( at this point it's just a hobby). Given you can have the same overall strength as the opponent, if the opponent has bigger hands than you, he will be able to apply more of his strength than you can, because he will have more surface to comfortably grab and you on the opposite side will be almost on your fingers tips with absolutely not being comfortable and not being able to apply not even close to 100% of your full strength. He will just shut you down because he will impose his style on you and you just have to get along with it and try to fight it on that lane. Anthropometry is one hell of a thing in some strength sports, it is what you call genetics, pretty much unfair but it is what it is. I love arm wrestling but i believe if you don't have some serious genetic traits, you shouldn't be investing b@lls to the walls on competitive side of the sport.

  This is a late comment, but I hope you will read it so that you can learn something for your viewers. Steroid processing of the body is determined by genetics. 2 people that take the same steroids will have different results based on their genetics. So they are not lying when they say that genetics are a factor, it's just that they don't say the whole truth.

  one of the key tools that John has that is just a genetic gift is his gnarly thumb that is even large than some of the actual super heavyweights. This thumb allows him to have that monstrous hand control.

  Very informative video and I agree with you for the most part. The only thing I want to add is that some people who may not have the best genetics to be a natural athlete, they could have even better genetics in terms of responding to drugs. People like Levan could never reach to where they are without drugs, but also not without very good genetics.

  I live weightlifting and armwrestling and I will never stop doing it, but competing is meaningless if you’re not on juice, that’s just cold hard facts in any sport. You’ll only get RUN OVER by people that has probably better genetics and they’re on juice.

  In a sense, Levan can use whatever he wants, but what I don't like is how much praise he gets for his strength. I'd like there to be much more praise for arm-wrestlers who area achieving great things naturally. All hail John Brzenk (though he started on androgel in his 40s and moved onto TRT nearing 50).

  I completely agree with this. I don't bother pulling anymore because so many people in the arm wrestling community using PEDs. I believe there should be two different leagues. Us normal folk like to compete and pull too.
